RT-AC86U IPV6 Router Advertisement not working properly

So it is a problem with 6in4 only.

RT-AC86U IPV6 Router Advertisement not working properly

I am using HE, but it's not the tunnel's responsibility to send periodic route advertisements, but the router's. Besides, I downgraded to 3.0.0.4.385_20631 and now it works fine.

RT-AC86U IPV6 Router Advertisement not working properly

The same thing is happening to me using the regular firmware, so it seems like a bug in it. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/ac88u-ipv6-connectivity-lost-after-minutes-since-last-update.68936/ Myself I am going to downgrade.

AC88U: IPv6 connectivity lost after minutes since last update

Since I updated my AC88U to version "3.0.0.4.386_41535" yesterday, hosts lose IPv6 connectivity (and their IPv6 addresses) after exactly 10 minutes. Reconnecting solves the issue... for 10 more minutes. That interval coincides with the amount of the lifetime of the IPv6 addresses, in other...

How to block OCSP requests on OS Apple

OCSP is necessary to check that certificates haven't been revoked (in other words, cancelled). Those certificates check the authenticity of websites, applications, and other things. Blocking access to OCSP puts your computer and your data at risk.

AC88U 5GHz network disappears when 6in4 tunnel is up

I had an AC86U whose 5 GHz vanished from time to time. I understood it was a hardware problem so I returned it. In its place, I got an AC88U. I haven't had any problem with it until recently: I set up a 6in4 tunnel and I started to see the same thing happen. I disabled the 6in4 tunnel for weeks...

5G network crashing on an AC86U

Just a few months later, the 88U is doing the exact same thing. Great hardware quality it seems.

AX88U gaming online, how to beat lag

50/5 is more than enough for gaming. You will not fix anything by using QoS. Your problem lies somewhere else. Maybe your provider has a CG-NAT and you can't connect to remote users directly or vice versa. Or maybe your peering to other users is poor which causes jitter.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 384.19 is now available

Windows behaves more or less in the same way than Linux. Current screenshot from my computer: The difference is that, unlike Asuswrt, Windows correctly reports the amount of free memory when you look at the task manager. Regarding this...

    That is your ISP's gateway.

Link to official assuswrt source code

If you can't find it there, ask ASUS. They are legally obligated to give all the GPL licenced code to you.

Tutorial Script: Dynamically block Asus open ports (security holes...)

I've just scanned my AC88U running 384.19 from the outside and there are zero ports open.

Change MAC address in Dual WAN/LAN Ethernet mode?

That seems interesting. I've got an AC88U. I'll give your suggestion a try, thanks

Change MAC address in Dual WAN/LAN Ethernet mode?

Thanks, but is that for the WAN port or for the LAN1 port? What I need to change is the MAC of the LAN1 port, I believe.

Change MAC address in Dual WAN/LAN Ethernet mode?

After a bit of tinkering I've figured what I need is to change the MAC address of that LAN port (if such thing is possible), probably via a script that executes on startup, but I'm lost as to how to achieve that.

Change MAC address in Dual WAN/LAN Ethernet mode?

I want to know if it is possible to change the MAC address of the secondary WAN interface in Dual WAN/LAN Ethernet mode.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 384.19 is now available

Dirty upgraded an AC88U. Works okay thus far. The "Enable 160 MHz" option still appears on the 5 GHz tab.

    Optimal Router Temperature

My AC88U hovers at around 80-85 degrees all day. Not sure if good or bad but I think shoving active cooling into it is quite a bit overkill.
