    ASUS RT-BE92U

Yeah, everything just works here as well. I was just curious about the slower reconnects on a router reboot e.g. after firmware update, or changing config. By default it was 2.4/5Ghz for me as well, but I changed it to 2.4 only as I don't think any of my iOT devices will ever use the 5ghz...

    ASUS RT-BE92U

@Wyllio Do you happen to have any experience with WiFi smart plugs / lights with this router? I don't have the stability issues with this router, and my smart devices as I did with the AX86U when it was new, but I did notice that my lights can take a minute or two to reconnect after a router...

    Release ASUS RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24323 (2024/11/28)

OK, I am clear now. That is just the general title and then anything after that is specifically what is addressed in a particular update.

    Release ASUS RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24323 (2024/11/28)

The main part I was asking about were the bug fixes. Just wondered if anyone had seen any other issues they were having resolved along with the security fixes. Referring to this line here: "Bug Fixes and Enhancements:"

    Release ASUS RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24323 (2024/11/28)

So, apart from the security fixes for AICloud and other breaches being patched, has anyone found anything else changed in this update? It mentions several other things it addresses in addition to the malware. So far I haven't noticed anything, and it feels about the same as previous firmware.

    Release ASUS RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24323 (2024/11/28)

Flashed my RT-AX86U this morning. Everything seems to have come back online and working as expected. Just thought I would toss out the question if, a factory reset should be performed due to the nature of the update, or is it safe to keep running with the previous config. Which for me, was a...

Looking for info on Coaxial cabling.

There is no set date yet. Here is what happened with that, Jim came out we talked and he tested the line, he got permission from the management to do the line. He left leaving it up to me to decide to have it done. I've kept in touch with hime as he gave me his number so I wouldn't have to go...

Looking for info on Coaxial cabling.

It's OK, I think this has to be solved in person. I do appreciate the help though. I think part of the issue here is knowing what I want, but not really knowing the best way to get it, or having limited options. For the time being, I'll just work on the situation here, and then post when I...

Looking for info on Coaxial cabling.

I was considering going business actually. With the price I was paying $170 for 1G+unlimited data, or $200 for 2G+ unlimited data I was told by a few people from Cox that business wouldn't cost much more than that. I wanted to clarify the router reboot state, ent from the other thread. That...

Looking for info on Coaxial cabling.

OK, the fastest ethernet is referring to download, since i bought the 2.5 ethernet dongle I can get the fastest speeds possible. the upload speeds were 115. I actually just called cox to downgrade my plan to 500 down and 50 up. I want to see if running at a slower speed will stabilize this...

Looking for info on Coaxial cabling.

I've done that as well, I use wired connection (iMac since it has the fastest ethernet capabilities) and I've done it direct to modem and I was still seeing drops so I can rule out the router. In terms of what disconnects the whole network, in it can't find the internet so all my devices go...

That's where the information has skewed. Because the issue started before that when I had their gateway, and was using the RT-AX86U with standard gig. What happened with the 2.5G port and the faster plan was it magnified the existing problem so it made the original issue look bigger because of...

Looking for info on Coaxial cabling.

Well, me getting my own modem was partially Cox's idea as well. The first tech that ever came out after I started having issues (while I still had their gateway). saw the RT-AX86U and told me that if I knew how to manage a router like that, that I should consider getting my own modem over their...

That's my plan now is to see what they can do. As far as keeping things simple, I'm in agreement with you there. I think the whole situation has gotten exaggerated because of lack of communication and no one from the forum knows me localy. Let me try to bring some prospective. I had lived in...

Looking for info on Coaxial cabling.

Here are some pictures of where the cables come into the apartment. Please note the splitter and modem connection are separate. The modem connection is the one with the barrel connector. The splitter is for the two jacks in the bedroom, and I don't know what's on the other end of the unused...

Looking for info on Coaxial cabling.

That's where I'm at is looking for the specifics. To respond to you list of doing things. The splitter isn't in the path of the modem, it's connected to the two jacks in the bedroom, and the input isn't connected, so it's just hanging there not in use. What's in the path of the modem is the...

I'm including some screenshots of what the modem is displaying attaching them now. from the main signals page and the event log. If you need me to send the screenshots individually, I can do that. I noticed the forum reduces the resolution from the original, so it makes text harder to read. I...

Looking for info on Coaxial cabling.

After doing some reading on the CoxCommunication reddit discussions, I think this is an ingress related issue based on the description of, how it can randomly come and go, and be very hard to track down sometimes. However, the various descriptions from different users line up with what I'm...

Looking for info on Coaxial cabling.

Hey all giving an update here, I was wrong about my initial assessment of the configuration in the closet. There is only ONE active line coming in as per @Tech9's standard coaxial cable configuration post. I thought both lines coming in were active, but only one is. Also the splitter is...
