    Personally I like the 88u and just got another on to replace the first one that was taken out by lightning week before last. As for wifi coverage you have to take many things into consideration that affect coverage. I have a 31 wifi network environment around me so it impacts my performance...

    I also had a lightning strike take out my modem and router. After replacing them I discovered that it had also damaged my ethernet cables so you might consider replacing them if you haven't already done so.

    Have you tried setting a static dns server? I had a similar issue with the ac88u when it was first released until later firmware updates resolved it. Also have you checked the cable from the modem to the router?

    Thanks for the info but the ports are dead on both units and I've got new units arriving later today to remedy the problem.

    Reset button to place it in recovery mode only I cannot access it to do anything with it. I'm going to see what it does in the morning after its completely deenergized overnight.
