Rt-ax88u random wan drops

finally pulled the plug on a new router
I am moving from a rvs-4000. I copied settings and filled in the equivalent in the Asus router.

It all hooked up work fine then all the sudden it starts to drop on the Internet. it's still has clients connected they can access each other I can access the gateway(att modem in supplemental network) however it loses the internet.

It doesn't log much in system log.

I did notice on the DHCP server tab the default gateway is empty. Could this be a problem? What should it be my gateway or internal router address?

That's the usual setting. If you mouse over the field name a question mark will appear. Left click for a description of that field.

Is there any way to track the causes for the router dropping the wan connection?

Look in the log of the modem.

Have you tried setting a static dns server? I had a similar issue with the ac88u when it was first released until later firmware updates resolved it. Also have you checked the cable from the modem to the router?
