    i too have Runner disabled but do not have any Trend Micro options enabled either. However, I do get full speeds when using openvpn client My ISP gives me 200 down, 12 up with OpenVPN client enabled using PIA

    thanks for that @ColinTaylor that seemed to get me a bit farther on as now when i run the script modified with md5sum i get this result but the bad ( i think) is if i test this port or use that port in my torrent client still looks like the port has not been forwarded ( or am i missing...

    Yes, you will need a VPN provider and the router. Most seem to reccomend the AC 86U as having better performance over the AC88U. Most are probably using Merlins firmware as it gives additional useful features over and above the stock Asus firmware.

    I have a similar situation and I think the easiest is Option 1.....but you need to add the device ip to the policy rules to run through the WAN
