    But won't land in this update yet, given Merlin is mentioning GPL of an older version. I'll have to wait some more for it to trickle down into Merlin's builds.

    Took me a moment to figure out the numbers, but from the looks of it, not yet. 384.9354 is the official for AX58U. So, sometime in the future then I guess.

    So the routing gods have finally blessed us with the update :) Just checked it myself and seen it. This also means all these fixes will sometime soon land in Merlin builds :)

    It is a problem when router is so broken it can't be used any other way than using some test build handed over by some ASUS people. Sort of unofficially. I'd prefer having a functioning OFFICIAL build on it...

    Bought this router, had major problems with it having QoS or Ai Protection enabled together with IPTV, managed to get some test firmware for it which sort of fixes things and now it's been over 2 months since and this router still hasn't received any official updates. What's going on here...

    RT-AX58U FQ_Codel issues

    RT-AX58 seems to have A LOT of problems. It's capable router on paper, but for some reason ASUS released this one in utterly broken state and doesn't seem to be too quick on fixing it. I'm still running almost 2 months old beta test firmware to even make it usable.

    I have this router and the explanation was that this branch is not being updated as often by ASUS anymore and Merlin depends on that. He doesn't have resources to backport features from new branches back to one used by this router.

    I've talked to them and it's not required. Only the actual port used for TV box.

    It works very well. If you don't use IPTV function. Or AiProtection/QoS. Other than that, it works great, yes. When it does work, I actually get better speeds than with RT-AC87U. Not by a lot, but it basically maxes my line wirelessly on laptop. With 87U it misses the mark by some 15-20Mbit...
