    RT-AC66R - Why Unsupported?

Yes 380.70 is the last version for that model. Or Johns as mentioned above is the other option. BTW 380.70 is running great for me on the AC66R. More info here.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

See post #1 in this thread. All the information regarding this fork is there for you. This is an older version of Merlins with NEWER backports and fixes. So its an new-old version basically.

    [Beta 380/Legacy] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.70 Beta is available

Because no one using an AC66U has moved on since 384 code is not available on the AC66U. :) And the AC66U is still a decent router. So its worth updating to the last version Merlin will be pushing out IMO.

    [Beta 380/Legacy] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.70 Beta is available

Updated Monday 4/2 and so far all is well on basic config router. Interesting not many others posting on/testing this firmware version. AC66 working great so no plan to dump it as of yet.

    [Release 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 is now available

Interesting info. Ran speedtests before updating and logged, updated from 380.69_0 to 380.69_2 and speeds dropped quite a bit immediately. (like 240 from 300+ over 5g wireless) After a while randomly testing with same results downgraded back to 380.69_0 and speeds came back to where they were...

    RT-AC68U and 380.69-0 - reduced ISP speed

I have had that from time to time with various versions and mostly had to clear nvram to resolve. Typically I had to clear it via the command line in SSH as the GUI reset didn't make any difference. Maybe coincidental and a second reset is what fixed it but 2 to 3 times I have seen this on my...

5Ghz Stops Broadcasting on Merlin 380.68_2 and above - AC3100

Which makes since since you were running the 382 branch of stock fw when you had no issues. Glad to hear things are looking up with this release.

    RT-AC68U 3.0.0.4.382.18547

If your router is used in default mode (router) then there is no issue to worry about with KRACK other than your clients. Only affects repeater and bridge mode. So Merlins code would be fine if you are in that mode and prefer to use it over stock.

    ASUS RT-AC66U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.8120

Excellent news! Thanks for the quick reply and clarification on ASUS statement regarding KRACK. Most info out there does say its a client issue but when I saw 8120 patched it made me wonder. Will sit tight on .69. then. Appreciate your efforts and support!!

    ASUS RT-AC66U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.8120

I am assuming none of this was already addressed with 380.68_4. So your thought as to whether its worth loading this until such time you at a point to start 380 development again (per your state of the union :) ) Although you did say until the 1st beta of 382 so perhaps you are already back...

Ok here with 12 days and 6 hrs and counting on same model.

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

This was mentioned in the alpha/beta threads. From what I recall network map no longer supports 10mbs so reports it as 100. Tools page reports it correctly.

    [alpha] Asuswrt-RMerlin 380.68 pre-release

Https works fine with Firefox 55. Same issue as described with Chrome 60. Hangs and 1/2 fills in, can exit and login with http then go back to https and it seems to work. At least sometimes. It is a lot slower tho and pages flash white as they update. Edge seems to work fine as well except the...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 is now available

Apple, iOS. Google, Chrome. (Thats two) Beta channel or release channel determines what you are offered. But this isn't my argument. Just relaying what Merlin/ASUS have chosen to do and the fact that it isn't a bug but a design choice. The entire update process for Merlin is different from the...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 is now available

No bug. This is by design. Added in 380.64 Changelog 380.64 (16-Dec-2016) - NEW: New firmware availability notification. The router will notify you if a new firmware is available, and will also let you view the changelog before sending you to the download page...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.7743

Sorry for delayed response. Turns out there was an issue with PPPoE and the latest firmware apparently. Check out the Merlin 380.67 beta thread. Seems his latest beta has resolved that issue for certain routers using PPPoE connections. As for nvram clearing. There is a write-up in a main thread...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.7743

I have had that issue occur a few times after a firmware update and the ONLY solution that worked for me (every time it happened) was to clear NVRAM via SSH command line. Even the built in factory default reset did not work for me. Not sure why that is different but both times it happened I...
