I finally got around to upgrading the firmware to 380.69, on Tuesday. I noticed last night that I was seeing reduced internet bandwidth - between 5% and 25% of normal speeds. I couldn't see anything in the router logs, but this morning rolled the firmware back to 380.68_4, and the bandwidth is back to full speed.

I'm in the UK, using BT Infinity 2, with a Draytek Vigor 130 VDSL modem.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

Edit: the reduced bandwidth affected both wired, and wireless connections.

I’m using a very similar setup to you with the exception of my DSL modem. I found 380.68_4 to be very good and 380.69 even better. It gave great performance and lowest latency I’ve experienced.

Having said that I’m also getting great results on 382.2 Beta 2.

I am a QoS user and use FreshJR’s scripts if that makes a difference. I don’t use Wi-fi on my router as I have BT Whole Home WiFi

EDIT: My DSL modem is a Billion 8800NL

I have had that from time to time with various versions and mostly had to clear nvram to resolve. Typically I had to clear it via the command line in SSH as the GUI reset didn't make any difference. Maybe coincidental and a second reset is what fixed it but 2 to 3 times I have seen this on my AC66. Also you may want to try and forget the wifi connections on your devices and rejoin (if the issue is with wireless). May even want to try that 1st before defaulting your router.

I have to admit to having not defaulting the router after the firmware upgrade - but the reduced speed was on both wireless and wired connections.

Using a simple bandwidth checker, on 380.69_0 the result was in the region of 20Mbps, and immediately after rolling back to 380.68_4 it was back to 74Mbps. In both cases though upload is consistent at around 18Mbps.

Perhaps I should try flashing again and testing again.
