*ISSUE FOUND* RT-AC66U - 5 Ghz radio not working on 380.65_4

No its the older one. Also I have had a strange issue or two in the past when using Johns firmware in that speeds would go to crap after a flash. Factory resets did nothing but the clear NVRAM by command line resolved it. Not sure why the factory default using the GUI and WPS button process...

*ISSUE FOUND* RT-AC66U - 5 Ghz radio not working on 380.65_4

Running AC-66 here and never had the issue you describe. Setting is on 20/40/80. Currently on 380.66 b2 but no issues on 380.65x either. So AC-66 does support it. I get 300Mbps+ download speeds over wireless AC on laptop and iPhone. [Edit] Just for grins I just changed it to 80 mhz only and...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 is now available

Works for me. I have an AC66 as well and NAT accel always on. Seems fine on 380.65

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 is now available

Here is a little info if interested on why this is. Basically co-channel is better than overlapping. And you want to be with ones that are the least signal strength. So in your case there was a strong signal on 11 from another network and the ones on Ch1 were lower. You can read more info here...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 Beta is now available

My guess (just a guess) is Merlin is trying to see if this would even help the reported issue first. Patience grasshopper. :)

Why not try the beta 4 mentioned in earlier post.

    TM-AC1900 (RT-ac68U) 5ghz transmit power on channels 36->48

There has been discussion regarding this in other threads. But it seems Merlins (and a lot of others) consensus is the transmit power doesn't really do a lot due to the fact that the receiving devices remain at a lower power. Equivalent to you shouting across the room at the top of your lungs...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

See Collins reply just below yours Here. You look whats there and see if that is your workstations mac. Then clone it if you wish using the button there. If you hover your mouse over the setting description you can see more info about it. Oh and router and modem is what he is referring to...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 Beta is now available

Hi Merlin, First thank you for all your time and energy you put into this project. It is appreciated by all! On the AC66, you mention: The RT-N66U, RT-AC66U, RT-AC56U and RT-AC3200 have to reuse some older closed source components due to incomplete/missing GPL release from Asus. Look for any...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Yep! I would recommend Pwr+ as well. I have used one for laptop (not router yet) and they seem to be pretty solid and have a good warranty (not that I have used it) but exchange for 24 months.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Its a one time fix if you load the 380.x codebase. Any previous codebase you can downgrade normal way. Also upgrades are all fine going forward too. Just when going back from 380.x to something earlier is when this comes into play.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64_2 is now available

If you restore your config file you negate the whole purpose of resetting to defaults and it returns to the same state as it was in before resetting it. You have to reset then manually enter your config again or utilize Johns NVRAM utility mentioned.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64_2 is now available

You should change to 20mhz for the 2.4 band. Looks like there are several other networks around and you will be doing both yourself and others a favor by doing so. 40mhz on the 2.4 band only should be used when there are no other networks around.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

So if I understand, you also need to access it from local network? Then perhaps using the advanced option in your PC'c NIC IP4 settings and adding a secondary IP address in the 10.6.x.x range is what you need. You will have to put the primary IP (the 192.168.x.x one) in as a static then you can...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Why not assign the NAS an IP in the 10.6.x.x network? That should allow the access to it from your 10.6.x.x external users but your 192.168.x.x network should remain isolated.

You should probably create your own thread in another area. This particular topic is about Johns fork and its various versions and updates. You would probably get better results. :) Welcome to the SNB forums tho!

    Wireless Internet Speed

Was the Dell a single stream/antenna card previously? It may only have one antenna connected so 1x1 verses 2x2. What is its connection rate as showing in the router? That may tell you as well.

To address the particular issue you are having or just in general saying "oh well wait til the next version"?
