[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61

Changelog just has: 380.61 alpha (xx-xxx-2016) - NEW: Merged with GPL 3831. I suspect there won't be more until a beta comes out.

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61

No "WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly." messages since the 19th. I installed it on the 19th but on the 20th I had a power outage and had to power cycle the cable modem and router so there is a lot of crap in the logs related to that. But, I haven't received this message...

    Newbie and statistic

Mine shows it: It's possible it might be registering it at something else, but it gets the FTP I do with FileZilla and Winamp.

Is it possible to switch to Merlin from 3.0.0.4.380_3831?

Might want to look at this thread: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/alpha-preview-builds-for-asuswrt-merlin-380-61.33718/ 380.61 Alpha is based on GPL 380_3831. Looks like your router is one of the available downloads.

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61

Since bayern1975 has a RT-AC3200, he can't test 380.61 alpha as there is no version for it. In my case with the RT-AC68U, I've gotten none of the WAN ISP messages since the 21st. My internet was sluggish for awhile yesterday (12:30am) but I think that was due to a lot of packet loss with Level...

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61

I haven't since it's been installed on the 19th; however, I did have a power outage one night where I had to power cycle both the cable modem and router to get the internet working again so lot in the logs from that crap where it couldn't ntp sync for over 8 hours, etc. Since this happened on...

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61

Decided to put this on my RT-AC68U. I am using the ISP assigned DNS servers. No wireless is active. No QoS enabled. NAT HW Accel is disabled. Trend-Micro statistics enabled. DSL Reports Speedtest: Just have to wait and see how internet behaves and if I get that same series of ISP DHCP...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

Yeah. It's weird. It happened on the 15th and I haven't got another one since and I haven't noticed my internet going out either. I don't do anything and it comes back alive. But also since the time I have had beta 2 installed my cable modem reset itself once and I've had issues with cable TV...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

Well, I started getting A buffer bloat with this. No QoS enabled and NAT Acceleration disabled. RT-AC68U. Before was getting Bs. Cool. Maybe they changed their test slightly, not sure. Although, my internet went flaky for a bit earlier and had this in log: Jul 15 18:10:17 WAN Connection...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

RT-AC68U, on the General Log page, should the Clear button remove the log entries permanently? It appears to only clear them visibly until the router is rebooted, well, a power on/off anyway. Is this the intended behavior?

    RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.3831

My understanding is that with 3.0.0.4.380.3831 you can only go back to 3.0.0.4.380.3264 or Merlin's 380.60beta but nothing earlier than that, at least through the GUI.

    RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.3831

I have never seen that message with mine with any firmware.

    RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.3831

FYI, when going here: http://www.asus.com/us/Networking/RTAC68U/HelpDesk_Download/ I had click Windows 7 64bit to see this version. The "Others" OS option did not list this version.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

Well, my RT-AC68U's log had this again: Jun 30 10:46:52 WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly. Jun 30 10:46:52 stop_nat_rules: apply the redirect_rules! Jun 30 10:46:57 WAN Connection: WAN was restored. Jun 30 10:46:57 start_nat_rules: apply the...

Off-topic posts from the 380.60 Beta thread

My RT-AC68U with 800 Mhz CPU has run around 68 to 71C for the 1.5 years I've had it, with all wireless disabled and not much going on. So, 73C seems fine to me. That CPU is faster and you probably have wireless going.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

Well, since I set the DHCP Query Frequency to Normal mode on the WAN tab, I have not seen the "WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly." message and my internet hasn't wigged out like it did that one time. Been 5 days now. Now whether or not this is just coincidence I don't know...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

Hmmm.. seems I'm having a similar issue to others on my RT-AC68U where the internet wigs out every so often with all kinds of lost packets doing tracerts. Noticed this in my log when it happened: Jun 24 18:08:15 WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly. Jun 24 18:08:15...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

Noticed this in the alpha thread. Does this affect the Daily/24-Hour/Realtime Traffic Analyzer? I only use the Wired internet in normal router mode. Haven't flashed it yet.

    RT-AC68U Problem with Traffic Monitor

Yeah mine does this same thing with CTF enabled. Here's the daily: http://i.imgur.com/LFxrk5e.png Here's what 24-hour looks like for WAN: http://i.imgur.com/4mz0RtR.png where upload and download are almost the same. Wired looks correct though: http://i.imgur.com/NIAa7Bg.png I have Statistics...

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60

Curious if anyone has tried going from the RT-AC68U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3264 from Asus to this. Does it let you? Still on 380.59 myself. Waiting until this going to beta at least.
