[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.62 Beta is available

Looks like the RT-AC1900 uses the RT-AC68U firmware: https://sourceforge.net/projects/asuswrt-merlin/files/RT-AC68U/Beta/ Ignore that latest version link at the top. It shows that for every model for some reason on that site. I usually download from mediafire...

What router model do you have and which file did you download?

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.62 Beta is available

Stuck it on my RT-AC68U. All seems fine thus far. I have Wireless turned off and most of the stuff you mention I don't use. If I notice anything will let you know.

Where is Trend Micro Statistics data stored?

    Thanks for the info!

Where is Trend Micro Statistics data stored?

I just put 380.62 alpha 2 on my RT-AC68U as was thinking of going to Factory defaults since it has been a long time. But first I wanted to know if I can backup my Statistics data before doing so and then restoring it? Where does it store it? The only reason I am thinking of going to defaults is...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 is now available

Don't think this is the correct behavior on my RT-AC68U. I looked at my Monthly Traffic Monitor and it only had September while the Daily goes back to August 5th. Unfortunately, I don't recall looking at it during August to know if it listed August then. I don't use a USB stick to save the...

    RT-AC68U firmware settings question

Read the notes on the firmware carefully. Starting with 3.0.0.4.380.3264 for my RT-AC68U you can not go back to older firmware (unless you stick the router into rescue mode). See the thread at the top of this forum. "ASUS has been dedicated to cooperate with third party developers to come up...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 is now available

On the 14th, 18th, and 24th, my log has indicated the WAN going down but wasn't present to see what really happened. RT-AC68U Aug 24 00:28:01 dnsmasq-dhcp[427]: DHCPACK(br0) 192.168.1.117 (removed) Aug 24 01:43:54 WAN Connection: Ethernet link down. Aug 24 01:43:54 stop_nat_rules: apply the...

Merlin 380.61 AC87 slow wired external traffic vs stock Asus FW

So, if you enable NAT Acceleration and hit Apply, it goes back to being Disabled?

    [alpha] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.62 preview builds

Not sure if Merlin has access to that Trend Micro code on the Statistics tab. Interesting to hear his answer.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 is now available

Just an FYI. Since Aug 5th, no issues with 380.61 on my RT-AC68U. Internet has been stable and nothing funky in the logs.

    Spanning-Tree Protocol On or Off

Just happened to be one of several that popped on a search LOL. I'm sure there are better but I have no need to watch them. I turned it off since I only have this one router.

    Spanning-Tree Protocol On or Off

Might watch this video: The way you describe your network configuration, you do not need it to be turned on as your network can't get into a loop state, if I understand how it all works.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 is now available

Most likely due to the option in Tools -> Other Settings "Memory Management: Regularly flush caches (default: Yes)".

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 is now available

I've put this on my RT-AC68U. Don't think I've done a factory reset since 380.59 or so. Things seem to be working fine so gonna leave it alone. Thanks for all your work.

Yeah, there does seem to be some lag time before the information there updates.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 Beta is now available

Installed the Beta 2 on my RT-AC68U and the General log tab was filled with stuff going back to April 10 again. When I saved it, it was 280K. I saved the log before doing the upgrade and it was 5 K and the first item was Aug 1st. I SSH into the router and noticed these files: Looks like the...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 Beta is now available

Installed on my RT-AC68U. Once again, the System log has DHCP assignment entries and past reboots and firmware updates in it going back to April 10th or so even though I cleared it on July 28th. Now, what's odd is that the log file I just saved after installing beta 1 is not as big as the one I...

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61

Since the 26th, no WAN ISP DHCP messages. Internet has been fine since the 28th after I cleared the log. Saw one of these for the first time: Jul 30 04:21:57 kernel: nvram: consolidating space! Which did seem to work.

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61

Been almost 2 days since installing alpha 2 on my RT-AC68U with no WAN ISP DHCP messages and my internet has been fine during this time so far.
