Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

The duration of my previous test was too short. There are new reports now. If I keep the router at 80MHz for a long time, the router may switch to channel 149 which does not support 160MHz. Connecting a 160MHz device at this time cannot make the router go back to 160MHz. So I'm back to 386.5.2...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

If you disconnect your 160MHz device and keep only that 80MHz device connected, your 5G WiFi should change to XX/80. "acsd: eth7: NONACSD channel switching to channel spec: XXXXXX (XX/80)" will appear in the syslog.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

AX86U upgraded from 386.5.2 to 386.7.2. 1. WiFi is stable. I don't see any WiFi disconnects. 2. 160MHz will drop to 80MHz when the router has no 160MHz device connected and there is an 80MHz device connected. When a 160MHz device is connected, the router will automatically return to 160MHz after...

    160 MHz stability

Not 80MHz, but 20/40/80/160MHz. I forgot the details of the test. I'll retest after RMerlin releases 386.7.2.
  6. Morpheus2020

    160 MHz stability

I remember that 100/160 also appeared in less than 3 minutes after the router was turned on. But I'm not sure. This may be related to the "region" setting.
  7. Morpheus2020

    160 MHz stability

    Not 10 minutes, but less than 3 minutes. AX86U with 386.5.2 36/160.

Intermittent loss of Wi-Fi since upgrading to 386.7

You replied to me here. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asuswrt-merlin-386-7-is-now-available-for-all-models.79450/post-776201 But look at the picture you posted in this thread. Channel is 36/80. This means your router's 5G WiFi is also reduced to 80MHz when no 160MHz device is connected. This...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

You can try disconnecting the 160MHz device so that the router has only one 80MHz device connected. Wait 2 minutes to see what the 5G bandwidth is.

    Release ASUS RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_49599 (2022/07/12)

Do you mean, with the setting of "160MHz" and "ch36", connecting an 80MHz device still drop 5G WiFi down to 80MHz (36/80 and DFS state is Idle) ? My family is using the internet and I can't test it myself. Thanks a lot for your test.;)

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

I read everything about 160MHz in this thread and AX86U 386_49447 in ASUSWRT - Official. I also tested the stability of 160MHz in 386.5.2 and 386.7. My friends also confirmed that there is a 160MHz issue with 386.7 of the AX86U. #881 is the result of my test. Whether AX86U can be stable at...

    Release ASUS RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_49599 (2022/07/12)

Does anyone know if this firmware fixes the 160MHz bandwidth issue in 386.49447?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

As we all know, 386.7 of AX86U has a issue with 160MHz bandwidth. I'm not saying it's caused by RMerlin, it's the Asus GPL 386.48966. If we know by discussion that GPL 386.49599 fixes the issue (I don't know if it fixes the issue) , it means that future Asuswrt-Merlin firmware merged with GPL...

    Release ASUS RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_49447 (2022/06/20)

In 386.7 or 386.49447 of AX86U, "160MHz+ch36" will make your router lose 160MHz when an 80MHz device is pluged in. "20/40/80/160MHz + Enable 160MHz + ch auto + DFS” will make your router boost to 160MHz automatically when a 160MHz device is pluged in. When your last 160MHz device disconnects...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

I and my friends who use AX86U can confirm 5G WiFi often drop from 160MHz to 80MHz. DFS State changes from In-Service Monitoring (ISM) to Idle. 386.5.2 is OK. I know WiFi is closed source and RMerlin cannot modify it. I say these to show that there is a WiFi problem with this version of the...

    lighttpd-arppin Tainted when booting

Until today, I have tried the following: 1.Upgrade firmware from 386.5 to 386.5.2 . 2.Change LAN IP of the router. 3.Change WAN mode. 4.Restart AiCloud, SMB, and FTP. 5.Reboot without USB device. 6.Change the port of AiCloud. They didn't solve the problem. 7.Reset the router and set all options...

After a certain reboot, the problem reappeared. I've tried resetting the router, but it still doesn't work.
