Given AX6000 and AX88U Pro are virtually identical, do they accept the same firmware?

The work around on the GT-AX6000 is hard reset it and then put it in recovery mode and use Asus firmware restoration tool to put newest firmware on it. putting the AX6000 pro firmware will not work they may look identical but they are not.

Anyone add an XT-9 to an existing XT-8 Ai Mesh?

So the difference between the the two is very slight. The XT9 has a marginal faster cpu speed difference and available 160 channel width on the 5.1 band it really wouldn’t matter much how you set them. The differences are very small. The XT9 is what the original idea for the XT8 was supposed to...

    Hardwired speeds suddenly halved- RT-AX86U

In all honesty it could be a multitude of settings that can affect speed. I would do a hard reset on it. But if you have another spare router hanging around you can do a process of elimination and see if you get full speeds from a different router. I have seen some Asus routers fail and cause...

    Hardwired speeds suddenly halved- RT-AX86U

XT8 - Best firmware for V2 Hardware? Is this the source of all my issues?

Gnutons firmware for the v1 has made night and day difference on the XT8 stability. I know Gnuton is or was working on a v2 firmware last update or mention of it was in November.

ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) mesh network doesn't work with Arlo doorbell

Did you try to bind that doorbell to the nearest XT8 node ?

ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) mesh network doesn't work with Arlo doorbell

Are you using smart connect? I had that doorbell prior to my ring doorbell and what I did was use smart connect and then bound that doorbell to my nearest XT8 and I didn’t have any issues doing it that way.

GT6 node connected via ethernet drops connection when another hardwired connection is added

There has been numerous reports on these with no fix. I had a customer of mine return 2 sets with the same issue I’m thinking it’s a firmware problem. They ended up getting a pair of XT12’s and I installed them hardwired no issues at all. GT6 is good specs wise but firmware seems horrendous.

GT-AXE16000 game streaming stuttering with iPhone 15 Pro

I do yes I got it when it came out I don’t have that issue that’s why I’m wondering if it’s a hardware problem with your Asus. Especially since you tried the TP link router and didn’t have the problem at least if you had that problem with both routers you could say, probably an issue issue with...

GT-AXE16000 game streaming stuttering with iPhone 15 Pro

This is a weird one I use the GT-AXE16000 as my primary and I game a lot and never had this issue at all. I also used the TP Link AXE300 before my Asus and that one didn’t have an issue either but TP-Link firmware is horrendous that’s one of the reasons I switched. Have you tried Merlin’s...

V2 is not supported yet but it’s in the works last I heard. Keep checking GNUTONS updates on it last mention of it if I remember right was in November

I have had my fill of the XT8 ignoring the 5GHz-2 backhaul as an AiMesh node...

Awesome! GNUTONS fork has brought a lot of stability back to the XT8 to stop people from ripping there hair out with the wireless issues on stock ASUS firmware hopefully now you will have much better up times as well.

Have you tried GNUTONS firmware on it I know Merlin doesn’t support XT8 both gnuton and Merlin’s stuff is rock solid but I know GNUTONS fork for the XT8 is really good it’s listed under its ID which is AX95Q which is what the XT8 is

I have had my fill of the XT8 ignoring the 5GHz-2 backhaul as an AiMesh node...

You talking about the F female to RJ45 Male coaxial adapters? If so no they break easily and I mean extremely easy. Moca’s yea can be pricey but evilbay you can get them on the cheap used with the power adapters my 2 ECB7250 2.5GB adapters were 125.00 out the door taxes and shipping

I have had my fill of the XT8 ignoring the 5GHz-2 backhaul as an AiMesh node...

This is what I did with my set up I have GT-AXE16000 as my primary and 2 XT8’s as nodes in a 3500sq foot house. I got a price quote to switch all my coax over to Cat 6 and the price was ridiculous if I could do it myself it would’ve of been fine but for health reasons I couldn’t so what I did...

Got an XT9 - need help buying something to fix my situation

XT12 will also work with a 5ghz backhaul but if that’s the route you going to go use the XT12 as your main router over the XT9

Recommended Asus router for a small, 3br home?

For cost effectiveness TP Link has a few good options I would go tri band setup something like the Archer AX3200 TP Link it’s very budget friendly has great range and a 2.5gb wan port on it as well in case you ever decide to up your internet speeds. Another good option is the Netgear RAX70 good...
