    DDNS problem with Dyndns.org

    agree with you on the "money grab". I just switched over to Asus but I am not sure that hte ez-ipupdate script works for their service. WIll have to look into something that is supported by the script.

    since the jerks at DynDNS have decided to pull the plug on their free service, I was looking to use the Asus's DDNS. What configuration do I need to enter in the conf file for ez-ipdate to work in conjunction with the service from Asus ? I've tried asus asuscomm but nothing seems to work...

    just upgraded from 38_2-em and happy to report no issues thus far. my JFFS stuff was even intact after the upgrade oddly enough.

    Is there any way to preserve open VPN settings similar to how I can save static dhcp settings from NVRaM ? also what is the best way to proceed with the upgrade from 38_2-em ? I am assuming these are the steps to follow based on the last firmware upgrade to 38_2 I did 1. backup...

    Unknown OpenVPN issue

    It sounds like firewall somewhere. this is one of those pull your hair out problems. Maybe a restart of VNC on the linux box ? I know its working from other sources, but maybe it needs a refresh.

    does it work by IP address? I am having an odd issue where all my RDP sessions only work via IP address and not hostname when connected via openvpn.

    RT-N66U OpenVPN Export ovpn file

    try looking in the /etc/openvpn directory and make sure everything gets cleared out from there. I had a different issue with the export in that it would not export and had an error messge in the webpage by the export button, but after manually clearing all that stuff out it seemed to work...

    so I checked my 5GHz signal and that doesn't appear to be improved from my "non-scientific" research. prioer to the firmware I was getting a "fair" signal and it is the same after. Again I didn't quanitfy it with any numbers though...

    I just setup openvpn on this build, had a couple of questions all I did was setup the openvpn server in the details tab and then exported the ovpn file to my phone and it connected. IS there anything else I need to do for the setup? it seems like it was too simple, thoughts? I left the client...

    My non-scientific results are in. I have definately notice and improved signal strength coming from an SDK5 driver. I have very week signal in the master bedroom and after the update it seems to have gotten better. Simple things like streaming has improved significantly. again this is not...

    The "em" build is in the experimental folder in the media share link. My understanding is that it uses a new SDK6 Wireless driver. In the past Merlin was patching in more reliable sdk5 drivers into the build because of the poor signal range of the SDK6 driver. But the "em" build in this version...
