    Can't ping my Asus RT-AC68U

It turns out that it was a problem with the Virgin Hub. I spent half an hour on the phone with Virgin Support. They eventually suggested doing a hard reset of the hub (pressing and holding the reset button for 40 seconds), and it resolved the problem.

Trying to connect Virgin Media Hub (modem mode) to Edimax dual wan router

I want to use my Virgin Media Hub 3.0 in modem mode, connected to an Edimax dual wan router, but I can't get the Edimax router to connect to the Virgin modem correctly. The Edimax router can spot that the Virgin Hub is physically connected, but is not getting an internet connection from it...

Simple router for use with Virgin Media Hub - Archer C50 or C7?

I need a router for use in conjunction with a Virgin Media Hub 3.0 (in modem mode) and a separate mesh network (BT Whole Home Wifi). Since I already have a mesh network, the wireless performance is not an issue as it'll probably be turned off. I've been using an Asus RT-AC68U up to now, but I...

    Can't ping my Asus RT-AC68U

Thanks for that. I tried both of those things, but neither helped. Now this is strange: I can't connect to the Asus router if I connect via ethernet (I get "PING: transmit failed. General failure"), but if I connect via Wifi I can connect fine - but still see the "Your ISP's DHCP does not...

    Can't ping my Asus RT-AC68U

Update: I can now get to the web admin console on the RT-AC68U (after leaving it powered down for about 10 minutes), but the internet connection status is still saying "Your ISP's DHCP does not function properly". This setup has been working fine for over a year, until my internet connection...

    Can't ping my Asus RT-AC68U

I suddenly lost internet access about an hour ago, and have isolated the problem to my RT-AC68U. I have a Virgin Media Hub 3.0 operating in modem mode, connected to the WAN port of the RT-AC68U. When I first looked at the RT-AC68U console it was telling me that there was a problem with my ISP's...

BT Whole Home Wifi - looking for advice on integrating into existing setup

Hmmm...that doesn't square with what I'm currently observing. For example: - If both Chromecast and phone are connected to the same subnet and DHCP server (i.e. my Asus router), but one is connected to 5GHz and the other to 2.4GHz wifi, then the phone cannot "see" the Chromecast - My desktop...

BT Whole Home Wifi - looking for advice on integrating into existing setup

I have no idea what protocol Chromecast uses ???

BT Whole Home Wifi - looking for advice on integrating into existing setup

Yes there'll only be one DHCP server, so everything will be on the same subnet. From a wireless network perspective I wasn't sure whether the Chromecast for example would work with my phone if the Chromecast was connected to a BT disc and the phone was connected the Asus router's wifi? Same LAN...

BT Whole Home Wifi - looking for advice on integrating into existing setup

My home networking is a little more complex than usual, and I am thinking of investing in BT Whole Home Wifi (a UK product) to both simplify it and improve my wifi coverage around my 3-storey house and garden. I was wondering if someone could advise on how best to implement the BT system to make...

Trying to get NAT loopback working on RT-AC68U

Uh-oh....previous experience with Sky support suggests that I may not have any luck :0(

Trying to get NAT loopback working on RT-AC68U

The WAN address on the Asus is listed as 192.168.2.7. Any idea how I can bridge the Sky Hub correctly?

Trying to get NAT loopback working on RT-AC68U

I think so. The Sky Hub is on 192.168.2.1, and the Asus on 192.168.1.1. The LAN devices are all on 192.168.1.*, and I can access the Sky Hub from a PC on the LAN. Is that what you meant?

Trying to get NAT loopback working on RT-AC68U

I've been trying to get NAT loopback working on my RT-AC68U, but have had no luck. I'm running Merlin 378.56_2, but have also tried 380.57. I want to access IP cameras and web servers on my LAN using their WAN addresses, but despite enabling NAT Loopback I am unable to do so. I am using the...

Is there any prospect of this release fixing NAT Loopback on the RT-AC68U?

Android phone can't see 5Ghz network after Marshmallow update

OK so I tried checking the "Auto select channel including DFS channels" box and now the phone can see the 5GHz network. I have no idea why???

Android phone can't see 5Ghz network after Marshmallow update

I've just updated my LG G4 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and it now no longer sees the 5Ghz network on my RT-AC68U - only the 2.4Ghz network. My laptop has no problem connecting to the 5Ghz network. I'm running 380.57. Any idea why the Android update may have borked access to my 5Ghz network?

NAT loopback on v380.57 and RT-AC68U

Thanks. Has anyone here managed to get NAT Loopback working with 378.56_2, John fork 16E1 or 374.43 (v16e1)?

NAT loopback on v380.57 and RT-AC68U

You're right - I hadn't noticed that the 2.4Ghz band was broken. So is there any way of getting NAT Loopback working with Merlin at the moment?

NAT loopback on v380.57 and RT-AC68U

I've been trying to get NAT loopback working on my RT-AC68U, but have had no luck. I've tried: - Both Merlin and Asus NAT Loopback - Disabling NAT acceleration - Disabling/enabling the firewall - Disabling/enabling port forwarding. I did a factory reset and two power cycles when flashing Merlin...
