The association between wired clients and the adaptive cpu clock.

I am probably speaking out of my arse by piping up but I seem to recall that Asus has been locking down the clock speeds (from allowing user changes via command line) for at least a year. Though that could have been specific to the popular dual core routers running 800/1000 Mhz like the ac86u...

    Isolating specific IoT wired device

Please and for searchability it would make sense (to me) to create a dedicated thread to the LAN port isolation process.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.3 beta is now available

Thats the built in test in the router i believe.

Diversion Will Diversion block speedtest.net ads?

You can modify the white and/or black lists to allow or block whatever you want. This is exactly what applications such as diversion are for; to allow you the user to choose (at least to the extent that the application is able to filter). As for your client getting ads, I would suggest...

AC86U on 386.2 cpu load with adaptive qos

Not to derail the thread but man, Dave thats some support. Dusting off an old router just to assist a couple of folks in the forums. Now that is some service. Kudos to you sir.

RT-AC68U Bricked after updating to 386.2_6 from 386.2_4

https://www.snbforums.com/threads/announcement-running-asuswrt-merlin-and-forks-on-non-asus-devices-is-illegal.44636/ On my Asus ax86u (not the same model I know), the router is coming with a different scope by default.192.168.50.0/24 with 192.168.50.1 being the router in its initial / factory...

Can RT-AX86U ZAKU II EDITION be installed Merlin?

The difference is just the visuals. Exact same hardware. You paid a premium for the fancy look and gui update. If you want to lose the gui mod then yes you can use merlin firmware.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2_6 is now available

I would also suggest parsing the logs to see if the router is logging info on why its dropping from full spectrum to 1/2 spectrum. Could be due to the DFS channels or congestion.

    Beta VPN Director testing

If im not mistaken doesnt vpn 1 have the higher vpn 2 - 5 thus any device with a rule in more than 1 vpn group going to use the higher priority while that tunnel is active? If correct and your device is in active vpn groups 1 & 5, it should always use 1. Until 1 is inactive.

Beta [Beta] FragAttack patched test builds (386.2_5)

Looks like the alpha has been taken offline. Suppose Merlin is merging this into something other than an alpha.

Slow VPN speed after FW Update from 384.19 to 386.2_4 ASUS RT-AC86U

The vpn speeds you are saying you had prior to the update appear to contradict what Merlin said the hardware should be capable of for Openvpn. http://www.snbforums.com/threads/openvpn-performance-of-the-rt-ac86u.41217/ 200Mbps or or less is what his testing found. Maybe you were having better...

Beta [Beta] FragAttack patched test builds (386.2_5)

Not to pee on your view of the subject but Merlins response seemed pretty clearly written. "This beta is strictly to confirm that the new drivers aren't majorly broken, and that radios do come up, and clients are able to connect." Control channels changing or not sticking where applied does not...

VPN policy routing management: per client versus centralized?

Not an A or B answer but similar to doublehd, I want it to do what I need it to do but without the headaches. And as merlin mentioned, in the end he is going to do what he thinks is best for his fork. Makes sense otherwise nothing gets done if your not passionate about what you are doing.

VPN policy routing management: per client versus centralized?

Maybe easier to tally the results if you put a poll/vote in the front of the thread.

RT-AC86U; unable to update from 386.2_0 to _2 or _4 (SOLVED)

And the other thing to validate is your actually pointing at the firmware and not the zip file or something. Another feat we humans do from time to time.

    YazFi Incorrect IP address allocation

Where are you validating the guest client ip address, on the client or the router? If the router, where at? The only accurate reading for guest client ip in the router is the wireless log tab. You can also ssh into the router and look in Yazfi. It will report the correct guest wifi client ip.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 is now available

This sounds more like a user specific issue (if an issue at all) rather than something specific to 386.2(4) You will need to be more specific about where you are seeing this SSID_2 sir. Would this be something your client devices are seeing or in your router gui or? Depending upon where you...
