What Sprint capable USB Modem to use with RT-AC68U

Looking to hook up a Sprint LTE SIM to the RT-AC68U and have it as primary connection, being in the boonies. What device would you recommend? Want it to work when configured as the primary connection, the ASUS compatibility list shows nothing that seems to work with Sprint, though, maybe I have...

OpenVPN shows many clients connected that are not me

Is there a way to reduce the logging, or eliminate it for the openvpn messages?

OpenVPN shows many clients connected that are not me

How can I configure OpenVPN to reject these quicker and definitely reduce the log messages, I hate those messages cluttering up the system log. Moving ports works temporarily, a simple port scan finds it.

OpenVPN shows many clients connected that are not me

I see lots of connection attempts from various IP addresses out there, see the attached VPN status screen excerpt. The log shows them timing out for TLS handshake failing. I presume they leave these connections open for a while? Is there any setting that might allow me to avoid this? Also, can...

Updated to 384_6, IOS Asus app no longer works

Thank you for this! This should mean then it's some setting that I have that you do not. So, there is hope.

Updated to 384_6, IOS Asus app no longer works

I was on one of the 380 releases. Did the update, cleared settings, hand typed them all in with screen captures. Router works great! Seems to be better in several ways, however, one thing that no longer works is the official Asus app on IOS, it can no longer connect to the router. The router...

Static IP, wan shows no ip in network map

So, I do have a static IP assigned to me. So, wan is defined as such, with static ip, gateway, etc. per ISP requirement. Merlin 380.59. When what I assume is the ISP down, the network map wan status screen shows no wan ip, no gateway, etc. I assume this is "normal" if the ISP is having...

    RT-AC68U slowing down every day

I am using the 68u also. I migrated to 380.59 last week from 378.56_2, and, thus far, the router is much more reliable for me, and seemingly faster. The old version using QOS bandwidth limiter used to stop the limiting every few days, new one has not done that. Overall, speeds really seem better...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

Ok, can do, though, it's otherwise working. I actually searched for quite some time looking for anything to do with traffic history and never found such a thread. Must have missed a key word.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

Have a problem on RT-AC68u, firmware 380.57. If I default the firmware, go immediately to the Tools -> Other Settings page, change traffic history to custom, enter path via the Select button (which turns out to be /mnt/ASUS/, a USB thumb drive which I used on previous Merlin firmwares, select...

QOS settings for VOIP -- how to troubleshoot?

Yes, that's what I started with, did not work for me, just fiddled with the device priority, highest, to begin with, and went from there. Never worked for me, and, the configured bitrate never did anything either. But, the limiter *does*! Working for now. Perhaps I need to start over with...

QOS settings for VOIP -- how to troubleshoot?

Yep, I get that, but it still does not work for me. Configured bitrate is now half of the speedtest results, does not matter, behaves exactly the same. That being said, I am finding the newer bandwidth limiter working fairly well thus far. I've done many a QOS in the past on different hardware...

QOS settings for VOIP -- how to troubleshoot?

Me too. I used to have cable and never had any issue at all with voice quality. I also use an OBI 202. I assume if you get bad quality, that, during those calls, you have a lot of network traffic coming and going? The bandwidth monitor screen should show you inbound and outbound bandwidth being...

    Worked perfectly, thanks!

Adaptive QOS Apps Priority - can't set

I have Merlin 378.56_2 with adaptive QOS enabled. On the QOS screen, I select customize to specify app priority. This brings up a screen where I can presumably drag and drop stuff to set priorities highest to lowest, except, it's completely empty. Is this functionality currently not enabled or...

    User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility (R26.2)

Anything to screen capture first? Before restoring my settings using this utility, are there *any* screens I may want to screen capture? i.e., what configuration screens might not get restored by this utility? Time Machine? Shares? etc. Any at all?

qos-start settings lost after web setting update

Seems reasonable. I just tested firewall-start and it does work at least when changing settings. Thanks for your help! I am starting to love this router, and firmware.

    Inconsistent UDP and ICMP performance

So, I have a QOS rule to make all traffic for my VOIP adapter have highest priority, only the mac address is filled in, nothing else. I have a 1Mbps upload speed, VOIP uses 10KBs. I have a backup process ongoing all day every day, and, limit that to 60% of my upload defined as .8 MBps. So, ASUS...

    QOS on RT-AC68U, multiple matches

The answer is it takes the first match, so, put most qualified match first, and, most general last.
