    I'm running the same combination with a 5g backhaul and they meshed up perfectly. I actually need the AC68U or I wouldn't be able to use my 2.4gh devices. But that's part of another thread.

    2.4ghz and 5ghz clients cant communicate with each other

    I already went through that. No change. If those 2.4ghz devices are connected to the AX86U they don't connect to 5Ghz devices. If I bind them to the AC68U mesh node, they work perfectly. The problem is elsewhere.
