Best Mesh System (WiFi 6, 6E, 7) for End of 2024?

Isn't cheaper to wire the existing points with temporary wires, purchase a 3 unit mesh pack and test the coverage and speed. If happy, keep the set and permanently install, if possible, the needed ethernet wires.

Same here, the hidden networks are on WPA2 and @Tech9 : No way to get a reply from Asus.

    Asus XT9 WAN question

Thanks for your reply. The cabling (cat5e) should be fine, as the 2.5G switch connecting the two nodes reports a 2.5G speed, as does the GUI, and another connection to a 1G switch reports as 1G. What's wrong with wanting a higher backhaul speed? I was just hoping for a simpler solution as...

    AP v AiMesh?

Elon has a cleverer AI. This would probably recommend to double the dosis and read a bible purchased directly. You know the salesman, as seen on TV.

    Asus XT9 WAN question

I'm thinking about how to speed up the backhaul from 1G to 2.5G to 2 Ethernet connected XT9 mesh satellites. In the manual I found an option to use LAN3 (1G) as a new WAN, then connect a 2.5G switch to the original 2.5G WAN port to which the backhauls of 2 nodes + a 1G link would go. The manual...

    Asus XT9 Hidden Networks

You may wonder why I'm so stubborn about these hidden backhaul streams, but at the moment I can see a total of 64 WiFi streams in my area + these 2 of mine... That's why!

XT9 wifi agile multiband in Ai Mesh?

XT9 wifi agile multiband in Ai Mesh?

Thank you, but I expected an answer from somebody ho knows... and this is has nothing to do with phones. Its about the switching between mesh nodes, I already changed the roaming assistant from -70 to -60dBm but still wont switch to a node with much more powerful signal

XT9 wifi agile multiband in Ai Mesh?

Should I turn on wifi agile multiband in XT Ai Mesh system? It says Multiband but settings are available separately for 2.4 and for 5-1 + 5-2 (smart connect) pages in wireless general settings I would like to use this function ONLY in 2.4 GHz band for only one IoT device - a robot vacuum...

    Asus XT9 Hidden Networks

@OzarkEdge YES, definitively, the firmware needs improvement. "The normal" in case of Ethernet Backhaul Mode enabled should be wireless backhaul OFF. Asus should be more concerned about polluting the environment with unnecessary transmissions and reducing the power consumption of their devices.

    Asus XT9 Hidden Networks

Speculating - If I do a reset, place the nodes far from the router, wiring them with the router and then adding the nodes, would help?

    Asus XT9 Hidden Networks

So, I found out that the above mentioned hidden streams are the Nodes backhauls, found the involved BSSIDs in router log. Apparently Asus has a bug or simply doesn't care about this. If the backhaul of XT9 is set to WAN First (Ethernet) and if happens that the backhaul wire is pulled from the...
