Asus BT8 as router + two XT9 as Nodes?

Occasional Visitor
Will work such combination sans the 6 GHz band on Nodes?
Backhaul 2.5 GHz ethernet.

It should but give it a try yourself.

I had my previous generations combined; wifi6 router (GT-AX6000)+ wifi5 node (AC68U) and it worked great.
