Looking for feedback: Anyone considering AiCloud important to them?

Personally I don't use it but if dropping it is beneficial for the firmware's overall health/build, so be it.

    DNS/TLS IPv6.

I emphasize DNS director globally to router because in this section you can exclude clients redirected to other DNS servers hence, you don't control through the router's DOT settings. For WAN and IPv6 DNS settings, true it's use by the router as the initial server at boot until DOT takes over...

    DNS/TLS IPv6.

Once you set strict DOT and DNS director globally to router, it overrides all DNS settings.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 is now available

Aside from the excellent script advice of @dave14305 your iPhone when iCloud pr is enabled in your network and you keep trying to access the internet at a certain threshold it will eventually give you an option to disable iCloud pr in that network(exception). This way when the mobile phone is...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 is now available

When I was playing with iCloud relay in the alpha/s I was able to force the router to offer an exception for my iPhone. It seems there is a mechanic that makes it offer an exception for clients that repeatedly blocked. I don't remember how long it took for the router to make exception but it...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 beta is now available

I don't seems to see how to add discovery method column in windows 11(OS Build 22631.3527) explorer? My router share is set for SMBv2 only. Edit: I found the selection to add discovery method but in this windows it doesn't show even if chosen. Any other way I can check?

    Question on Wireguard tunnel configuration.

I'm not very good with this, all I know is it works by following the prompts and letting the default config values as is. Like what I said, I think site to site settings is only for router to router wireguard connections just ignore it. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Question on Wireguard tunnel configuration.

I have tested the wireguard from 388.7 A2 and did the same procedures as yours to setup an iPhone using iOS Wireguard client through the QR code by scanning the code with the wireguard client to get the config. My tests works as tested from a 5G or wireless network connections. I've tested it...

Have global ipv6 address but unable to access internet over ipv6

You have assigned a private ip block (10.200.100.250) with your WAN DNS. Change that to your ISP's DNS server or any in the list.

You will not have control of the ads when private relay is on as it bypasses your router's DNS in that specific gadget. Ads are serve by the sites.

I guess I'm just pointing out that mobile phones also roam outside of your home network and it's inconvenient to turn on/off private relay whenever you leave/arrive in your home. I and my family feels safer outside of our home with Private relay enabled than none. Desktop Mac, iPad or Gadgets...

    [ 3004.388.7 alpha 1 Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

Private Relay is VPN like function that is useful for users that wish that their internet activity private, more useful when they are on the road. It's opt-in and is not on by default and only available for iCloud paid users. In my opinion we should just leave it alone, users who opt-in knows...

And to add, it seems the DoH prevention in apple products, in my case iPhone, it doesn't work even there's notification about private relay unavailable, safari still tunnels through iCloud. I know it does because it still serves ads. :) iOS 17.4.1 GT-AX6000 Alpha 1 g4c689dffeb

@RMerlin It looks like iPhone will not give up easily when preventing client auto DoH is enabled. This notification keeps on going up when iCloud Private Relay is suppressed, this will be annoying.
