    Instead of trying newer beta firmware, I actually downgraded to your .266.23b version and it appears to be working better. On 2.4ghz I'm getting 8-16mbps which is more in line with what my old router was getting. Going to do a bit more testing to see if this sufficient for my setup.

    Ah interesting. Well that makes it really hard to decide on which fixed channel would be best no? As I'll never know which channel has the most available unused bandwidth. Doesn't that mean auto is a better choice when the channels are all crowded?

    Yep I've used inSSIDer, doesn't help too much on the 2.4ghz channels as they are basically all crowded. I'll try switching to 20mhz and flipping through the channels again. I still feel like something is broken though rather than just this being interference - even sitting right next to the...

    Hi guys, I also just purchased a RT-AC66U and am seeing the same exact problem. 5ghz getting solid speeds, 2.4ghz getting 1-2mbit/s with strong signal. Tried playing with the key 2.4ghz settings but to no avail :| The router is on firmware 3.0.0.4.270. Any other ideas for things to try...
