    New RT-N66U Firmware release from Asus

    loving the new firmware so far. my 5ghz is now putting out 300mbs solid with 70% signal strength downstairs. with .270 firmware i was getting maybe 144 mbs if i was lucky.

    the distance in a straight line is probally about 20 feet at the most. that is through the floor and maybe one wall that is sheetrock. the bios is 300.4.354. that is the buggy one so i will revert it and see what happens

    Well I seem to got that fixed. Thanks But now my 5the is not working. I can see it but nothing will connect with it. Keeps saying authentication fails. I changed nothing on it. Redid password and st ill. Will not connect

    well i could not figure that out. i just turned off dhcp server to see what happens. my download speed doubled. is it dangerous to disable this setting?
