    How to keep same DDNS with different router?

    Try setting the WAN-side MAC address to match the old unit. I believe you can do this on the Asus firmware - it's called something like "clone mac address"

    No - I mean the line printer daemon. It's holding ports 515 & 9100 open on the LAN. It seems to be meant to support a USB printer plugged into the Asus, but I have no intention of using that.

    Sorry if this is a dumb question. Is there a means to disable 'lpd' on the Merlin/Asus. I've been using Merlin a couple months and it's IMO a big improvement over the vanilla. So I recently started removing unneeded services. Samba and ftp can be disabled w/o difficulty, but I don't see any...
