Can No Longer Edit Dual Wan Table 384.3 on RT-AC68

What is a browser console? Is it on the Asus or in Chrome?

RT-AC86U Administration - Restore vs Initialize

I upgraded the RTAC56U from 380.x to 384.4. After loading the firmware I simply reset the router by holding the reset button 5 sec. 1. I assume this means a Factory default Restore? 2. Do you recommend to do a Factory default Initialise after a major firmware upgrade? 3. When restoring router...

Can No Longer Edit Dual Wan Table 384.3 on RT-AC68

No luck. Issue with 384.4 fresh install today on the RTAC56U: cannot edit the WAN Unit entry (no more dropbox). Delete works. I reset the RTAC56U to factory after loading the new firmware, with 5 sec press on the reset key. Tried from Chrome and Edge browsers. I hope we will get back the...

DUAL WAN: how to fix new clients to specific WAN?

 1) How does that affect speed? I have no additional software running on the router. 2) What causes the router to switch between WANs? Using 192.168.2.1/24 to WAN2 defines all IP's 192.168.2.0 - 192.168.2.255 to use WAN2. Why not the router? 3) Will the router not switch between WANs if...

DUAL WAN: how to fix new clients to specific WAN?

You're the man! Thanks for the taking the effort to write this tip. It solves all problems: we can now use Dual WAN and bypass the load balancing (which causes all kinds of outages), without having to manually assign a WAN route to each device. Question: In order to get the benefit of all IP...

[Dual WAN] Routing rules not applying [AC68U]

How nice of you, appreciated! But no thanks. I take more out of these forums than I can give :)

DUAL WAN: how to fix new clients to specific WAN?

Nice idea, although a GUI solution would solve issues with load balancing experienced by many. Without wanting to go off topic: about the VPN routing script you found I have a question for you I will ask you in a new thread :)

    VPN routing script

@MrJackBlack wrote here: 1. can it route certain IP clients through VPN and other clients regular through WAN1 as well? 2. which thread deals with this script? Thanks

[Dual WAN] Routing rules not applying [AC68U]

Instead of using 0.0.0.0, try leaving the destination field empty ;)

DUAL WAN: how to fix new clients to specific WAN?

Thanks for the info. I hope Merlin is reading this. It would be great if he sees a way to enable a range. On the second issue with source IP : all: I don't understand why it solves lag and other issues, but if true, it may be a solution that can be applied by Merlin (apologies to Merlin for...

DUAL WAN: how to fix new clients to specific WAN?

Can you try the first rule like 192.168.1.0? Why do you have rule 3 and 4?

DUAL WAN: how to fix new clients to specific WAN?

Thanks. I was wondering if you can set a default, something like this: Source IP: 192.168.0.0 Destination IP: (empty) [ means all IP destinations ] WAN Unit: Primary WAN That would mean every new device on the LAN would go through the primary connection. No load balancing. Can this be done?

Help setting DDNS on Dual WAN

0.0.0.0 does not work (anymore), if you leave the field empty, it will show 'all'

Hi Did you get your gateways? I am facing the same potential issue as you do, would like to know if you solved your question in OP #1.

    DUAL WAN and QoS

Hi MrJackBlack, No response to your question from me either as I do not know (yet). However, can I ask if: 1. you installed both VDSL lines with PPPOE for each port (WAN, LAN)? I read on various places the Asus cannot connect to two PPPOE accounts, although the firmware does provide the...

DUAL WAN: how to fix new clients to specific WAN?

@peraburek I am tyring to understand if load balancing can work with 2x VDSL providers and checked 380.65_4 from merlin. Beside entering the PPPOE details for the primary WAN connection, with load balancing enabled, I see the option to add PPPOE details also for the secondary (LAN) interface...

    SIP Passthrough enabled

thanks, I switched it off, but it did not solve my SIP NAT issue. So I looked further and also see RTSP passthrough enabled, could this affect SIP traffic (over UDP)?

    SIP Passthrough enabled

@merlin Can you please explain this setting? With some SIP applications it is very important to have SIP ALG disabled, meaning the router makes no effort to "help" or change sip traffic. This is what I need. SIP Passthrough enabled sounds like it means that the router simply lets sip...
