Can you please explain this setting?

With some SIP applications it is very important to have SIP ALG disabled, meaning the router makes no effort to "help" or change sip traffic. This is what I need.

SIP Passthrough enabled sounds like it means that the router simply lets sip traffic pass through but could also mean that the router actively touches the sip traffic and changes its nature.

SIP Passthrough disabled: does it mean it will block sip traffic or does it mean it will not touch sip traffic?

SIP passthrough is not in the manual, so is perhaps added later, thanks

That option isn't clearly labelled. If you enable that option, it will enable a Netfilter helper that will help establishing SIP connections through the firewall. You should usually only need to enable this when using SIP clients, not when using a SIP server. And it will also depend on how your client is configured.

thanks, I switched it off, but it did not solve my SIP NAT issue.

So I looked further and also see RTSP passthrough enabled, could this affect SIP traffic (over UDP)?
