    It does. The Covr doesn't allow me to set anything except for SSID and password and general channel width (for both bands at once) but I cannot configure for 2.4 or 5 GHz networks individually. So could I use the Asus router to set channels etc that are then used by the Covr in AP mode?

    Soooo… I swapped the ASUS back to the D-Link Covr 2200 with a node closer to my work place to see the difference and I'm getting ~600 Gbps in the same room with tue router and ~250 close to the node o_O

    I don't rush it and keeping an eye out for the ax86u. A bunch of refurbished units were on sale recently in ASUS' online shop.

    20% more is good enough for the moment I think. But OE is right, maybe just invest in a fresh router every 8 years :oops:

    Just checked, most important iPhones & MacBook are ax compatible. Rest is ac. So, should there be gains expected for the ax devices?

    What would make a difference then? My work laptop will be wired soon for most of the day and only occasionally be used with Wi-Fi. The rest is mainly iPhones, iPads. How much could I realistically get via Wi-Fi from the gigabit connection?

    I tested the connection with disabled as well as enabled Jumbo Frames and it does not make a difference. Especially the ASUS Speedtest is always in the low 200s no matter what setting I choose.

    Hi! When I am browsing the web each klick or URL call has a 1-2 second pause before the website loads. I'm on mavericks, chrome and safari and use the AC68 with Merlin's beta 3. Was the same with last official release too. Any ideas? Philip
