    Azazel Thanks, this is exactly the info I was looking for. Any tricks to getting my R7000 to obtain a WAN IP from the ISP? do I have to somehow "release" the WAN IP via the Actiontec?

    Sorry if I wasn't clear in the OP, all the routers will be connected with Cat 5e. The ideal solution is to bypass the Actiontec I think, but because it's needed for the TV channel guide, I don't think that's an option.
