    GT-BE98 Vs Pro model

I think I BE cursed. So the BE98 arrives. Great! Unpack it, check everything. Damn, it's really one FUGLY beast. Wife saw it and the third thing she said was "FACEHUGGER!!" I'll spare you the first two things she said. So I plug it in, turn it on and so many LEDs fire up on the thing, I think...

    GT-BE98 Vs Pro model

Thank you all for the replies. Honestly, if I couldn't get Merlin's (or Gnutron's) firmware, I would've not changed routers. Yep, I buy Asus routers thanks to Merlin. In any event, I have one BE98 on the way. Thanks again everyone!

    GT-BE98 Vs Pro model

HI all. I know I read this in a post somewhere but I cannot find it. Basically, what are the difference between the Pro and Non pro versions? Secondly, does Melin support the non pro version? I checked https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net/about re the supported models and the pro is listed but no...

Diversion UDP and arpa blocking - Just trying to understand

Hi all. So with the recent Diversion update, I figured I'd take a look at my setup and follow the log file. I've noticed that diversion blocks the following; _dns.resolver.arpa lb._dns-sd._udp.XXXXX (the "XXXXX" is my "router domain name" ) This only happens when I launch my apple home app on...

    Diversion Diversion 5.1.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, May 09, 2024

Nice update! @thelonelycoder Probably a dumb question but I seem to remember you once advised to update entware only from diversion and that’s how I’ve always been doing it. Now that you’ve dropped support for pxlserv, I suppose we update entware from amtm? Apologies if I’m remembering this...

Diversion Need help with selecting new set of filter lists / block lists for Diversion 5.0

Curious why you’re dropping the following list; https://hostfiles.frogeye.fr/firstparty-trackers-hosts.txt (first-party trackers, only in hosts format available, will no longer be included) And please take care and recharge yourself! Diversion 5.0 can wait. Your work and YOU are appreciated!

Interesting question! I’m in Singapore and paying approximately USD30 for 1000/1000.

    Diversion Diversion 4.3.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, released April 02 2023

Hi all. I know @thelonelycoder has decided to remove the YouTube ad blocking feature and thou I may not, respectfully, agree with that decision, I respect his choice to do so. Just another data point re my own experience; knowing he was going to remove the feature, I turned it off to, I guess...

    Thank You @RMerlin

Much thanks to the great wizard Merlin and it’s about time Asus made a statue/gave him preferential shares/ made him CEO advisor. Something.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker v4.2.x (see new thread for 4.3.x)

Haven’t scanned my dnsmasq log yet, but all my Apple devices are working fine so far. Except Siri. She’s still as bitchy as ever.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker v4.2.x (see new thread for 4.3.x)

I swear, this is exactly why I stay on Asus routers with Merlin’s firmware and all these amazing scripts; a ton of power and flexibility with minimal effort. The amount of skill, talent, knowledge and cooperation in these forums is amazing.
