    Looking for Broadcom VDSL Modem

I have exactly this issue - solved by the ZyXEL VMG8324-B10A.

    Wifi calling and AIMesh

No idea, but exactly the same problem here on the S9+ (since the move to Pie).

Really disappointed with AiMesh, I switched to something else

Dare I ask? All I need is: 3 wifi "points" No disconnects Wifi calling that actually works. Not a great demand, but it's not happening here.

Really disappointed with AiMesh, I switched to something else

I have resorted to 3 mains power time switches, that each stop the power for 1 minute daily on the router and the 2 nodes. The inbuilt re-boot function never seemed to do a proper re-boot. Very tempted by something simple like Google wifi atm.

So...Do I have to wait for the next firmware again?

So.... If you are waiting for the "fixed everything" firmware, I suspect your wait will be long. Not just for Asus, but for any manufacturer of any product that has updatable firmware. 45149 working well here - other than the network list. If I want the network list, I use the app. Not too...

    ASUS RT-AC86U firmware release 3.0.0.4.384.45149 12/05/2018

Critic, Your sentiment might be diluted by your over-reaction. I am not using IPv6, and this firmware so far seems to be better (86U router, 2x 68U nodes). Your "avoid" advice directed at users like me is therefore inaccurate. The client list on this new firmware is still a bit of a mess...

    ASUS RT-AC86U firmware release 3.0.0.4.384_32799

With this update, my router lost its nodes. Nothing after a good 5 minutes. But I had to go out, and decided to fix it later. Came back an hour later and it had found them!

    ASUS RT-AC86U firmware release 3.0.0.4.384_32799

Updated mine through the GUI. Needed a power cycle for router and nodes. Wifi seems much better. I get a consistent 35 MB/s both directions on file transfer (internal network) on my laptop.

Device list - is it about time?

    Router is an 86U.

Device list - is it about time?

Fixed by populating all of these lists with resolved names, rather than MAC addresses.

Device list - is it about time?

Is it about time this was fixed? It has been more or less forever, and across router models too. Asus can do it for the app, but why not the router UI?

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version RT-AC86U_3.0.0.4.384.32797

My 5GHz performance was a mess, in fact the whole thing was a mess. I did a complete init, including resetting the nodes. Basic default setup, no guest network and it seems fine. So far...

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version RT-AC86U_3.0.0.4.384.32797

I know - but the last firmware was fine. Auto-rebooted nightly for a month. As soon as this f/w went in, it all fell apart again.

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version RT-AC86U_3.0.0.4.384.32797

Hmm. Updated yesterday. The overnight auto-reboot killed everything. The 86U and the nodes all needed a power cycle to get things working again this morning. Will monitor...

    Wifi calling and AIMesh

Merlin, Thank you for the reply. Disappointing though! I'm sure that on previous firmware I got seamless changeovers by disabling RA, but not so now. Oh well - no moving when on the phone.

    Wifi calling and AIMesh

Whenever I am on a wifi call and my phone switches between routers, the call drops. Any way around this? AC86U main router 2x AC68U nodes (one wired, one wireless) All on 20648

    RT-AC68U new firmware 3.0.0.4.384_20624-g14d2f02

That's odd. I have 68U's as nodes, and they are working fine as nodes with this firmware. Main router is 86U so different setup.

    AiMesh usability poll - Version 3.0.0.4.384 20308

    1. AiMesh AC86U 2. AiMesh Node#1: AC68U (wired backhaul) 3. AiMesh Node#2: AC68U (wireless backhaul) With RA off, all perfect and stable. With RA on, Node #2 lasts 1-2 days before crashing.

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.20308 for All Supported Products

I have 2 68U nodes (off one 86U main router) - one wired and one wireless. My wireless 68U is dreadful. A client wired into the wireless node is fine, but wireless clients have hugely variable speed, often going to zero. I have swapped hardware around and it's not that, and the only wifi signals...
