I decided to buy this thing and I don't regret! I'm on Firmware Version:3.0.0.4.382_15984 and I have no issues achieving 940 Mb/s down from my ISP (I have Gigabit connection) when using cable connection. This means that WAN-LAN speed on current firmware is much better than when Tim was testing...

Thank you! Just to make sure: this is not LAN-LAN (local) speed, this is LAN-WAN WAN-LAN (internet up/down)? This is exactly what I wanted to know!!! This means that on your firmware the throughput is much better than when Tim tested this...

Awesome! Can you test bandwidth WAN-LAN and LAN-WAN? How high do you get?

I have 1000/40 from ISP. Anyone else with Gigabit?

Can anyone please test WAN-LAN maximum throughput (with QoS turned off) on the beta firmware?

You are right, I didn't think about that. But you have experience with RT, right? So comparing to that GT has a faster processor and double the RAM so theoretically it shouldn't be slowed down as much by the same tasks (NAT, traffic monitoring, etc.) and bet at least as fast. Why would you...

Case in point is: I pay for 1 Gb internet (ok, fine 940 Mb/s) and it really works! I don't want my router to be the bottleneck. Actually I never thought this might be a bottleneck since 1Gb LAN-LAN is a solved problem (?) and WAN-LAN shouldn't be different (silly and naive me still thinks that)...

Thanks for the reply! Anyone else? What about LAN-LAN speeds? Is 1Gb still a problem?

I believe 940 Mb/s is the limit of 1Gb connections, so it's pretty close. If you look at the carts for throughput they all hit 940. Well most of them: https://www.smallnetbuilder.com/tools/charts/router/bar/179-wan-to-lan-tcp/35...

Anyone with 1Gb internet connection here? Can you achieve 1Gb on your router (WAN-LAN)? In the review it achieved only 719 Mb/s WAN-LAN. Do your real-world tests confirm that?

I'm sorry but I'm really confused. Can anyone please clarify what is happening here? I have 1Gb/35Mb from my ISP and when the PC is connected directly to the modem I get 933 Mbs / 40Mbs real speed test results. If my modem can handle that, why this router can't? Does the above test mean that...
