    Copy config possible?

Thank you, so I'll go through everything and will do it manually.

    Copy config possible?

Hi, I have a RT-N66U running last Merlin 380.70 and a spare one with the fork (Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS (V43E6)). Can I copy the config from one to the other, so I have a drop-in-replacement if the first is broken?

    Any devices with 4.x kernels?

Correct, but underlines the need for timely security updates, including kernel updates.

    Any devices with 4.x kernels?

Well the kernel means quite a lot to me because I don't think that Asus, BCM oder even the maintainers here (which I consider to be the good ones) have enough time on their hands to manually backport all patches. ASUS had a problem with this in the past (Link)...

    Any devices with 4.x kernels?

Hi crowd. I find it quite a bit disturbing that we use a kernel that has been out since 2010, are there any wireless routers out there that use modern kernels (i.e. the LTS series 4.9, 4.4 or 4.14)? Jan

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Does this release of this fork contain the fixes for CVE-2018-8877, CVE-2018-8878 and CVE-2018-8879 released with asuswrt 382 version?

    RT-N66U still officially supported

Hmm... Without knowing, I assumed the different merlin firmwares were build on top of a common core with only drivers being different...

    RT-N66U still officially supported

Hi crowd, I did not find an answer using search, so please forgive me if it has been asked before: The RT-N66U is still officially supported by ASUS, who just released Version 3.0.0.4.382.50470 a couple of weeks ago. Q: What is / are are the reason(s) that merlin dropped RT-N66U support?

    The rmerlin donation thread.

IMHO donations are important for open source projects, no matter how large or small they may be. Donated to RMerlin as well as thelonelycoder, thank you for your work!

    Locked myself out

Was up early and made a reset, thank you anyway. I got " --> Entware device change detected" when running AB-solution, but paths were corrected. Strange, as I have verified that the microsd is mounted in the same place as before, it has a label... any idea why this happens? The dnsmasq config...

    Locked myself out

Ah, nice idea, sounds like this could work. Yep, I'm in a linux-only household :-) So I''d take the micro-sd card out, mount it and alter ... which one and in which manner?

    Locked myself out

I'd like to try that as a last resort, as it would mean that my whole day configuring the device would be lost...

    Locked myself out

I want ssh to be only accessible from the inside plus from a certain outside IP range. I added an IP restriction and ticked "ssh", but now seem to be locked out of my router: I can no longer access my router via the web interface, nor via ssh from the inside (which seems logical since I forgot...

    restrict external ssh acces

OMG WTF... if it weren#t late at night, I'd say I'd need some coffee... Thank you bigtime and thank you for AB-Solution, too. Just donated a couple of bucks btw, keep up the good work!

    restrict external ssh acces

Isn't this only related to the webinterface?

    restrict external ssh acces

I'm just switching over from tomato and still getting to know asuswrt-merlin. Using 380.68_4 on RT-N66U, I'd like to restrict ssh access to a certain IP. Is it possible to do this in the GUI or do I need to use iptables (if so, how)?
