    I've had many tp-links (wr740, wr841, archer c7 x2)* and my family and friends have many (overall ~15 devices) and not a single one had a problem... In fact I am VERY happy with them and many are compatible with openWRT / DDWRT which allows you to setup pretty much anything on them including VPN...

    Bitdefender Box Reviewed

    If I had an extra computer lying around that I could install pfsense on, I would give it a shot. But I don't, so the Bitdefender Box2 seemed like a good alternative at the time. I tried Cujo but had to return it because it wouldn't even start up for me about 80% of the time. At least Box2 works...

    Yes, VPN will hide your IP with secured tunnel but I recommend you to choose dedicated IP instead of dynamic or static ip as these IP can be traced with spam records but dedicated IP is fresh and does not possess any such bad history.
