    New AC68U user here: Setup the router today, updated to the latest official firmware; 3.0.0.4.384.21140. Also setup QoS which made me agree to a EULA for TrendMicro. I then tried to figure out how to install Merlin firmware but it wasn't possible. The Firmware Upgrade interface was different...

    Deciding between Asus RT-AC68U and Netgear R7800

    Thanks for the advice :), I managed to pickup a used 68U yesterday which I'm quite happy about. The R7800 would have been nice but I think for the money I saved and being able to use Merlin firmware with all the features that it has I can't complain. & thanks for your response as well...
