    New Horizons Beckoned

Yeah, me too! I switched like a month ago :D, such a powerfull tiny device that can run openwrt on! And with 4gb it means you can host a lot of stuff in the docker, like some nice Grafana monitoring tools and etc. And when you separate your router from your wifi, your network then becomes...

AC86U sometimes powers completely off during reboot

I personally got tired of all the issues with asus software and hardware on the rt-ac86u like crashing on trend micro stuff, this issue that the routers turns off when rebooting or the router rebooting when i disable and enable my network adapter on my pc... i sold the rt-ac86u to never buy an...

connmon connmon - Internet connection monitoring

@Jack Yaz Idk if its possible, but could you add support for us to be able to monitor 2 or 3 ips at the same time with graphs? At least 2 instead of the only 1 that we have today... i would like to monitor one internal ip(in other words, from inside my country) and another one external ip(in...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 is now available

Just be careful when using reboot scheduler with the RT-AC86U, due to this nasty bug that inhabit it: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/ac86u-sometimes-powers-completely-off-during-reboot.48296/ The issue that you mean is this one...

AC86U sometimes powers completely off during reboot

Its nothing to do with the schedule reboot to be honest... I don't use schedule reboot and sometimes when i reboot the router i got the problem! The only thing we know for sure is that this problem happens when you reboot the router

AC86U sometimes powers completely off during reboot

So i had STP disabled for a while and in the other day i had to do a reboot of the router... When i did it even with STP disabled i had the all lights off issue.

    [Experimental] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 test - AiMesh/DNSSEC through OpenSSL

Are you clearing the cache and cookies properly and etc when doing your tests? Because here i always get the same result with every browser!

    [Experimental] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 test - AiMesh/DNSSEC through OpenSSL

Yeah, seems that cloud flare does not support that cipher(i might be wrong)! And i don't know if its a region thing or not! Here in Brazil using cloud flare i get the same result:

AC86U sometimes powers completely off during reboot

This problem is really, really random and intermittent! So it might be stable for now but might happen in the future again!

AC86U sometimes powers completely off during reboot

yeah, i forgot to mention that like the guide said, on step 5 i flashed 384.12 again like it said i should do... but on step 7 when i was doing the minimal setup to connect to my isp, after i set the vlan and click apply when the router was suppose to reboot, i got the all lights off issue :(
  18. shark

AC86U sometimes powers completely off during reboot

oh yeah, I've noticed that if after you removed the power plug and cycle the power button, there is a discharge of energy left on the router! Anyway, while following the guide like i said, i got the annoying all lights off problem lol

AC86U sometimes powers completely off during reboot

I've found the nvram erase on the 86u weird, because the guide said that the router would reboot by itself and I've done this procedure of nvram erase on a rt-ac68u and the router rebooted itself after nvram erase with the wps button, while the 86u did not. About the button being on while you...

AC86U sometimes powers completely off during reboot

So, reporting back after doing a "nuclear reset" of my 86u using this post - https://www.snbforums.com/threads/major-issues-w-rt-ac86u.56342/page-4#post-495710 from @L&LD So what i did was: 1 - A dirty flash from 384.12-beta2 to 384.12 stable before anything else. 2 - Turned the router off and...
