    That's exactly what I am talking about - the frustration. I'll say QoS really helps here. At least it helped me out. Just had a few questions : "I’d have to keep changing it' - Is it the router that you change ? "due to congestion" - Is it from your ISP or is it just your home ?

    Well, that's good to know. However, I would still recommend QoS for an almost perfect home network, where despite 100% usage from X user, there is still room for Y user. That's a bit of oversimplification, but yeah. It's your call to make. In case you need any help, just ring me up here. :)

    I know that this is a very late reply, but I just came across your post now. I can help if you post your QoS settings page screenshot. QoS does work alright with DD-wrt, else it won't have been there in the router settings. Anyway, if you're reading this, please share your QoS settings page...
