    Release ASUS RT-AC66U B1 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.45987

Yes, I kept the default Asus subnets when configuring, so intranet is .50.0/24, GN 1 is 101.0/24, GN2 is 102.0/24. Without the rule removed looks like this: # ebtables -t broute -L BROUTING Bridge table: broute Bridge chain: BROUTING, entries: 10, policy: ACCEPT -p IPv4 -i wl0.1 --ip-dst...

    Release ASUS RT-AC66U B1 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.45987

Not on RT-AC66U, but on a XT8, I've resorted to removing the 5th rule on the ebtables, broute table, BROUTING chain, making the connection from the Intranet to the guest network possible again. Show rules: ebtables -t broute -L BROUTING The 5th rule should be the one to remove. This change...

Verizon Fios, ZenWifi XT's and how to best use Ethernet cables.

I don't understand much about MoCA networks, but, the way I'm seeing your diagram the 2nd XT8 node is connecting to the FIOS equipment and not to the XT8 router. Your other devices work on the Netgear switch because they're using the FIOS connection to the Internet and not through the XT8...

Release Asus ZenWiFi XT8 - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45898

Good way to start a work monday.. XT8 node was showing as disconnected, despite working fine? On the XT8 router I forced the roaming to happen by re-applying the roaming block list, and doing so caused the XT8 router to kernel panic and hard crash. Sent email to ASUS, but if the past is...

Release Asus ZenWiFi XT8 - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45898

So, after upgrade and NVRAM reset on all 3 (2 XT8, 1 XD4) and reconfiguration: - WAN detection not working - NTP time sync not working, possibly due to not detecting that WAN is online and therefore not launching the NTP daemon (Internet works fine tho, both IPv4 and IPv6) - 1st Guest network...

Release Asus ZenWiFi XT8 - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45898

Haven't yet upgrade, still on 43181, but regarding IoT devices (a dozen of Shelly's and other devices), I'm using the 1st Guest Network on 2.4GHz for them along with the below configurations. I'll be upgrading and resetting all the 3 "nodes" (1 XT8 Router, 1 XT8 Node, 1 XD4 Node) on the...

    Release Asus ZenWiFi XT8 - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45879 (2021-09-29)

No longer listed on the regional PT website as well. Still up on the global Asus site, but I guess it'll be pulled off the list too.

    Release Asus ZenWiFi XT8 - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45879 (2021-09-29)

The builds are incremental right? Despite released for different routers. I "built" the "change log" in https://pastebin.com/3w7j3PyX, and if so the changes are more than what's on this version changelog. I kept the download from yesterday if you want to try it. I'm not responsible if...

    Release Asus ZenWiFi XT8 - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45879 (2021-09-29)

    Asus XT8 IPv6 bypasses pihole

I've got it somehow working on my end, still not perfect, but. on the Asus side of things: IPv6 is in Native mode (since my ISP router is in Bridge mode) IPv6 Auto DNS is disabled (Set Connect to DNS Server automatically to Disabled) On IPv6 1st DNS (IPv6 DNS Server 1) entry I've inserted the...

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0 (continued)

Wouldn't such a high value, -55, be detrimental? Having in mind how the roaming assistant is supposed to work (nudge the client off the AP).(?)

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0 (continued)

I'm using a TP-Link SG105E, with loop protection enabled. And AiMesh works. 2 ASUS XT8 on 41994 firmware. Now, either the switch isn't actually using it or it doesn't catch it, or..all is working correctly.

RT-AC86U - Enable efficient multicast forwarding (IGMP Snooping)

Yes not ideal, since some tcp ports remain open on the STB, and now they're available "to the outside world".. :/ The WiFi was a no go, I was pretty much ready for that outcome. The IGMP Snooping is enabled by default from what I could gather, and perhaps it's some configuration that's needed...

RT-AC86U - Enable efficient multicast forwarding (IGMP Snooping)

Hi @Kalashnikov You're effectively getting a public IP addr on the STB, not a private one, I have it "the same way" with the ISP ONT+ROUTER (MEO FiberGateway) in bridge mode, with a switch in between (where the ASUS XT8 router and STB are both connected, both getting public IP addresses). Due...
