    Cannot use Channel 1

Yup, all good. I tried manually setting EVERY channel from 1 to 11 last night, and NOTHING but 11 would work, which as I've said is the most congested. It just doesn't make any sense! I forgot to mention, it was already set to 20mhz because Auto acts worse. I also flipped back and forth...

    Cannot use Channel 1

I exchanged my first unit for another of the exact same. It has the same exact issue that I can't set a static channel of 1 or 6. I didn't try 11 because it always defaults to that, but per InSSIDer and Wifi Analyzer, 11 is the most congested!! It started lagging again a couple of days ago...

    Whoops completely missed that. Thanks!

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.40 is out

RMerlin, how do I get the CPU temp to show on a RT-N66R? The changelog says that was fixed, but I don't see it in the GUI?

    Asus RT-N66R or Netgear WNDR4500?

Hi all, I recently purchased an Asus RT-N66R and so far, I'm not sure if it's what I want/need or not. I am thinking about exchanging it for the same thing because of some issues I've had with the 2.4 radio, but I'm also wondering if I shouldn't just exchange it for a Netgear WNDR4500. Here's...

    Cannot use Channel 1

It does have a stable connection on Auto, so maybe I should just be happy with that? It just irks me that I paid 130 bucks for it and can't use it fully

    Cannot use Channel 1

Yes I am using inSSIDer, plus an app on my phone. 1 is the least congested, that's why I want to use it. 11 is the most congested and oddly enough, that's what it wants to auto-set to.

    Cannot use Channel 1

Guess I should have mentioned that I already tried that...no dice, same thing unfortunately.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.40 is out

Asus RT-N66R - Doesn't show CPU temperature, only radio temps. Am I correct that the changelog shows this should have been fixed?

    Cannot use Channel 1

I replaced my failed Linksys WRT54g yesterday with an Asus RT-N66R. I updated the firmware upon installation to the latest factory version. At first I had several instances where it would lock up and give me the "SSID has changed etc etc" screen. It would do it on all kinds of changes, for...

    Help choosing the right router

The title of the sub-forum is "Wireless Buying Advice". That's why I along with many others have posted for advice here. Doesn't it make sense?

Advice for a new Dual Band N router

Yeah, I think I'd consider the E3200 as well. Looks like it would work, since I'm not too concerned about 3 stream.

    Netgear WNDR3700v3?

I am considering the Netgear3700 and see on their site that there is now a v3. Any ideas as to the difference from v1 and v2?

Advice for a new Dual Band N router

I know I could do that, but honestly, doing that kind of makes the purpose of these forums pointless. I could do that in a never ending cycle. I'm not trying to be difficult, but I figured I'd get some advice using the info I gave above.

Advice for a new Dual Band N router

Ok, here is what I *think* I've narrowed it down to: NetGear WNDR3700v2 NetGear WNDR3800 NetGear WNDR4000 NetGear WNDR4500 Linksys E4200 Asus RT-N56u So, with what I listed above, which of these would best suit my needs? Anyone?

Advice for a new Dual Band N router

I thought Belkin stuff was junk, but maybe that was way back in the day, because I've seen some positive comments on them lately. Have they improved that much?

Asus RT-N56U Is this the router for me?

Cisco refurbs only have a 90 day warranty.

Advice for a new Dual Band N router

Hi all :) I am looking to upgrade from my current Linksys WRT54G v4 to a Dual Band N router. The WRT54G is a good router, but my needs have increased since I first got it. I have read the charts and reviews so much my head is swimming. I have also looked at the buying guides but could still...
