MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

In Option 2 "Set Router Credentials", do I need to set that for the script to function? I only want to use it for email notifications of a new release, I prefer to do the actual update myself as I only have the one router to deal with.

I do apologize for any confusion I may have caused. I will be more carefull how I post here next time. I really do appreciate the help.

Asuswrt Merlin: My working OpenVPN configuration for Bi-Directional VPN (router to router)

Bottom line, it works! I set the Inbound Firewall to Block and deleted the contents of the Custom Configuration. The client status on the VPN Client page did not show a public IP until I added "fragment 1300" to the Custom Configuration as you said. I thank you once again and hope this post...

Asuswrt Merlin: My working OpenVPN configuration for Bi-Directional VPN (router to router)

I only see 5 of 8, not sure why. Here's the other 3

Asuswrt Merlin: My working OpenVPN configuration for Bi-Directional VPN (router to router)

Yes, I did mean Exclusive, thank you. Also, it is true "Nowhere does it tell you to change the Inbound Firewall setting to Allow." But I saw it in another example and just tried it and it worked. If I understand you the Exclusive option will make sure DNS is only provided by ExpressVPN, that is...

Asuswrt Merlin: My working OpenVPN configuration for Bi-Directional VPN (router to router)

I used the instructions from this link under the Asuswrt-Merlin selection https://www.expressvpn.com/support/vpn-setup/manual-config-for-asus-router-with-openvpn/#configure Once I uploaded the .ovpn config file into the router I saw the "Custom Configuration" text box at the bottom was populated...

Asuswrt Merlin: My working OpenVPN configuration for Bi-Directional VPN (router to router)

I'm not sure if I was clear as I am only 1 cut above an average user. I was referring to the Inbound Firewall setting of Allow that is in VPN -> VPN Client setup page. With out that setting Roku would not connect to the VPN supplied IP.

Asuswrt Merlin: My working OpenVPN configuration for Bi-Directional VPN (router to router)

Just using VPN on router to provide VPN on Roku. Besides the easy to find RTFM I also had to set Inbound Firewall = Allow Everything started working on my laptop I used as a testbed. Then I setup a VPN Director rule for the Roku and poof, life is good. Bottom line, thank you!

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 is now available

The fan I'm using is AC powered (110v) because I use the USB connector for a drive. I've provided two pictures, one with the fan in it's running location, and one to show the bottom with screws and nuts to keep it from sliding down the router. The fan comes with the screws and other hardware. I...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 is now available

Fair enough. But I'd still like to be able to display temperatures by F or C since I live in the USA and I'm old lol

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 is now available

I have a fan on top of my RT-AX88U to pull air up and out. It helps a lot, enough to justify the cost (around $25). Just be sure to use an inductive ball bearing type for longevity and noise. If you use some non inductive (brushes) it could possibly generate enough electrical "noise" to affect...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 is now available

It was possible in earlier version with the older style graph display. Perhaps it could be added back in I'm hoping

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 is now available

I see where temperature is now shown in System Info and it really looks nice. But, can I change from Celsius to Fahrenheit?

scMerlin scMerlin v2 - Service and script control menu for AsusWRT-Merlin

Thank you, I'm always happy to wait, it's not an earth shattering issue and I'm sure he has a lot on his plate.

scMerlin scMerlin v2 - Service and script control menu for AsusWRT-Merlin

I first saw the temperature issue back in May 2023. I followed it thru since then. Along the way I remember seeing that @Jack Yaz was not going to be involved in Merlin as he had other responsibilities, and simply didn't have the time. IMHO someone needs to step into the roll so this update can...

scMerlin scMerlin v2 - Service and script control menu for AsusWRT-Merlin

Just tried it and it works fine, nice to see the temperatures.I'm running an ax88u pro. Couple questions: Is there a way to revert back from develop mode, and how? Also, by doing so, will it revert to v2.4.0 Last but not least, thanks to you and @Jack Yaz !!

scMerlin scMerlin v2 - Service and script control menu for AsusWRT-Merlin

Just curious, about when does something from the Develop branch make it's way to production release just using AMTM-scMerlin-update?
