1st router crash in 4-5 yrs ???

Hi there, in the first 4-5 years owning this RT-N66U I have never had a router crash. In-fact I can't remember if I've ever had any of my routers crash and then prompt me for the setup wizard. All the router settings have been reset I'm assuming. I'm very alarmed by this.. unfortunately I went ahead and added my login credentials to the router and I'm back online but I am very nervous with what just happened and I posting about it to get an idea of what's going on. I'm on Merlin 380.63_2. I'm kinda nervous to go through the router and add any more settings. What should I do?
