so I decided to rename my SSID, now I have all my devices plugged in, WIFI turned on, and just my phone connected to wireless.
speeds at 500/500, its been 10 minutes, so far so good.

It's weird I've tried 2 times now, and after it finishes loading, I lose connection to the router for a few seconds and when I go check the NAT acceleration, it's back to Level 1 CTF.

Tried it on the main router with the AP unplugged as well.

Changes to NAT acceleration need a full reboot to complete the change.

I think the moral of that thread was "when stuff makes no sense do a factory reset on router".

I've been thinking that a factory reset might be a good idea but in respect to @L&LD I was holding off to let him make the suggestion :D

false alarm, speed went back to 300 as I was setting up my 3rd WIFI device.
I'll try a factory reset tomorrow, I think the family's had enough for today :)

just an update, resetted my main router this morning, and I've been getting 500/500 with everything plugged in and connected.

I think this is resolved now. Thanks for the help.
