New Around Here
I am English and live in France - I have a 1Gbps fibre connection
I use many connected devices around my home and need a vpn for some geo based connections

found an ISP that allows me to put their 'box' in bridge mode - which I have done and then Ive connected 2 Asus XT8's (version 2) in mesh mode

got most of the bits I wanted done but its a steep learning curve

I would like to have anything that connects to my guest wifi network use my vpn connection
I can setup the vpn connection but I cant see how to force the guest network to exclusively use the vpn

Is it possible and if so how do I do it

Is it possible

No, you need Asuswrt-Merlin custom firmware for this, but your V2 routers are not supported at the moment. What you need is available in newer Asus routers running stock Asuswrt 5.0 (Pro models and some higher end GT models plus ExpertWiFi series). Your routers run Asuswrt 4.0.

XT8 V1 is supported by GNUton’s Asuswrt-Merlin fork. I don’t know if the developer has intentions to support V2. Asuswrt 5.0 is not coming to XT8, unfortunately.

OK - thanks - are there any systems that would be able to handle my requirements at about the same price point

All Asus tri-band mesh systems running Asuswrt 5.0 are more expensive. Better leave support request at GNUton’s GitHub page, you may get lucky. Few different V2 models got support already.
