Hi Merlin,

from the other thread, I mentioned that my router CFE contains US regional settings despite it being distributed by authorized Asus distributor in Singapore.

Any likelihood that regional and xmit power are also locked in the backend for your upcoming fw release?

I mean it's ok if the UI does not expose the settings. Was wondering about the console.

No idea for now. That portion of the code will be whatever code Asus puts into the stock firmware.

No vacation till the merge is complete. LOL!

A quick diff between 1088 and 1123 revealed almost no changes between the two, so I won't be spending efforts on 1123.

was there new mips binary's on 1123

I didn't check, but based on the 1123 feedback from RT-AC66U owners, I think I'll pass.

Alright so, I have a question if anybody would care enough to give me an honest answer to the best of their knowledge.

Let's say I were to clear the nvram to my router through the asus mini cfe page, by selecting reset nvram to default values. I believe the command it gives at the top of the page is nvram+erase for this. Right afterwards, on the same page; I enter the nvram+commit command, then the status changes saying nvram commit completed.

It is only by doing this that it will allow me to return to the previous page on the asus cfe web server. The very beginning page where it allows you the options to reboot, reset nvram, or upload a firmware file.

If I hadn't entered the nvram+commit command, I would have had to reboot the router manually by turning it off and back on to get the router to respond in any way.

My question is... is it better to reboot the router by selecting reboot on asus cfe page or by turning it off and then back on again to get the best results from clearing the nvram?
