Hello. I am moving to place where fiber/cable isnt an option but has very good 4g signal.
Can you recommend any 4g modem. It has to have bridge option. No stick and no battery powered. No need for wifi etc. Just for bridging
Thanks for any input.
What do you mean by bridge option?
A solution without double NAT that works at full 4G-speed without adding a Dovado tiny?
I have been searching the same for quite some time. Unfortunately I have not found any .
Many Huawei Usb-sticks (such as E3276 and E3372) have Hilink mode where the Usb-stick works like a router (you get double NAT) and non-Hilink mode where you can either use the Usb-stick in Ndis or ppp mode. Unfortunately Asus routers do not support Ndis mode (sometimes refered as Ncm-mode) since firmware version 374.42.
Ppp mode will get you to I believe 20-25 Mbps. I do think Hilink mode will give you a better speed if you have good 4G connection. My 4G connection at home is bad (around -105 dbM) so I get around 15-20 Mbps with my E3372.
How many dbM is your 4G connection showing?
Quite a few threads regarding this:

There are more if you search .
There is also a guide on the ZTE MF823 that allows you to disable DHCP but I could not get that to work.

With bridge mode I mean that it passes public ip to my asus router (no double nat, if your provider gives you option to change public ipv4 APN). I already have my old huawei E5186s but it sometimes switches off without reason, so i need a new one and ipv6 doesn't work in bridge mode in that model. I actually had dovado setup long time ago when 4g routers were not popular. That setup was not very good and connection dropped very often.
I highly recommend you to get rid off that dovado and get huawei or some other standalone 4g router..
Here is my speedtest, during day it bounces between 50-80mpbs and later at evening 80-120mpbs download and upload is pretty much 40mpbs all the time. I dont know current dbm as i don't have pc here to check.
