That's what the whitelist is for. I do the ground work, you do the fine adjustments yourself.Hi. Is there anyway to make the script capable of bypassing the Adblock detector on Forbes.com?
What's your list?Works great thanks for the fine job, I was using the manual setting until today, merlins latest 380.58 wiped the jffs on the router so I gave this a shot. Can I still use my other block lists? what happens when I update or something if I change some lists around? I kind of had a large block file, but not this large. Thanks for the help, looking forward for the integration with pixelserve of some sort.
Thanks again @thelonelycoder

You can change as much as you want in /adblocking/update-hosts.sh. And as long as you don't change the hosts file type it will stay that way.Can I still use my other block lists? what happens when I update or something if I change some lists around?
I'll probably include these as a fourth hosts file type in AB-Solution 1.1These are basically the same but it gives me a less sized file, aprox 200k.
I was using these with the addition of your lists except the real big one
http://support.it-mate.co.uk/downloads/hosts.txt:
This give aprox 6Mb file, like I said, using these plus yours, minus the UK one thats really large.
Thanks again, Regards

AB-Solution does not use dnsmasq.conf.add, it uses /jffs/scripts/dnsmasq.postconf.Thanks or this, how can I:
Put this in your /jffs/configs/dnsmasq.conf.add:
address=/www.google.com/216.239.38.120
If this is Version 1.05 you downloaded post it in that thread. Thanks for making this, it sounds really promising! Sorry to be a complete noob, but in simple terms how do I go about installing this? Ive installed the Asuswrt-Merlin firmware, connected to the router via SSH, downloaded your AB-Solution files and put them on a usb stick.
How do I actually locate the file? This whole process is completely alien to me so would appreciate some help, thanks.
cd /tmp/mnt/
ls
Thank you, how can I use dnsmasq.postconf:AB-Solution does not use dnsmasq.conf.add, it uses /jffs/scripts/dnsmasq.postconf.
So, you're free to use the former to add your address.
You best upgrade to the latest AB-Solution v1.05.Thank you, how can I use dnsmasq.postconf:
pc_append "address=/www.google.com/216.239.38.120" $CONFIG
this is actually the way I was doing it as conf.add had stopped working properly for some reason and as I never touch it I cant remeber why that was. Something to do with dnscrypt I think. Oh and just typing that has made me realise that has possibly stopped working aswell
pc_append "server=127.0.0.1#65053" $CONFIG
pc_append "no-resolv" $CONFIG
So I guess my question is how can I get these pc_appends into the dnsmasq.postconf the script creates?
Many thanks
If this is Version 1.05 you downloaded post it in that thread.
Anyway type in and hit Enter:
A search in this thread would have given you the answer to that. The main reason I wanted to use it was for blocking adverts on YouTube without needing to install AdBlocker on every device.
