AC 68 - USB3 port not seeing USB3 drive attached

STSinNYC

New Around Here
New AC68U running Merlin 376.49_5. Running fine except for a quirk with the USB3 port. The router does not see either of my external USB3 drives when they are attached to the USB3 port. Sees them fine on the USB2 port, no problems streaming music to my receivers. The USB3 port seems to be functional, I plugged in a USB stick and I saw it. The powered external USB3 drives are formatted NTFS, nothing unusual. Not a big deal, just using the USB ports to stream music from the external drive. Just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and was able to solve it. I do understand that the Asus routers can be touchy with attached drives. Thanks, Steve

Disable the "Reduce USB 3.0 interference" setting under Wireless -> Professional.

I am a new buyer of RT-AC87U and I´m having the same issue with 3.0 USB front connector. If I connect a USB 3.0 ntfs format device, stick usb or hard disk, the router does not see it. But if device is a USB 2.0 it works perfect.
After that I plug the same 3.0 device on 2.0 back connector and it Works.
The firmware is the last oficial 378.3885.
¿Do you recommend me upgrade to a Merlin, in order to solve this problema? or I´ll need to return the router to de dealer?.

I apologize for my bad english.
Hope your answer.
Regards,
