I'm now running 384.4_2 on an RT-AC68. After the firmware update, Bandwidth Monitor no longer works. I restored to factory and tried 384.4. That did not work either. I did a search and did not find this specific issue.

I did restore my config settings. I have a lot of settings and really don't want to manually reconfigure everything. Is that the next step here or is there something else I have overlooked?

Well here may be the answer to the first issue. I'm assuming that instead of fixing the weird bandwidth monitoring readings (reversed download/upload for some but not all devices during dual WAN) they just shut it off when in dual WAN mode.

Mar 31 19:46:03 dpi: TrendMicro function can't use under load-balance mode!

But the other issue with the Traffic Analyzer may be related to this:

Mar 31 19:00:00 hour_monitor: dpi engine doesn't exist

Not sure what that is about.

Well from studying the many postings of people having challenges it seems to me that experiences differ depending on the simultaneous features that are being employed on the device with 384. In my case the bandwidth monitor and traffic analyzer are working now... but for example in 384.3 I did notice that my up/down monitors got reversed every time I turned on a vpn client but it seems fixed in 384.4.

You mentioned "load balance" mode in another post so you may be using dual wan? FWIW I recall a few posts of people having issues when its on. So yes I would factory initialize again and try with Dual Wan off and see if the monitors/analyzers work first.

I am using dual WAN. Certain network traffic gets routed to my backup ISP. If I get some time I will see if they will work with out that enabled, but I already rolled back my firmware to 380.69_2 and things seem to be back to the way the were.

The log entry below makes me suspect it will not work any longer in dual WAN mode:

Mar 31 19:46:03 dpi: TrendMicro function can't use under load-balance mode!
I think the entry below relates to the Traffic Analyzer no longer working but I'm not sure:

Mar 31 19:00:00 hour_monitor: dpi engine doesn't exist
