AC88U Delayed Release

It seems that the release to Europe has been delayed until end of January ( was meant to be around the 20th of December ) and the major US resellers are out of stock (Amazon, Newegg).

Is this just a production problem or did asus found something wrong with the first production batch?

Yep Amazon has sent me a message that more stock wont be avalable for the AC88u until end of January beginning of February. Seems like they did a small production run for working out kinks for their first shipment.

Hmm, Sure hope there was nothing wrong with the first batch I'm in the UK I imported mine from Australia (and saved a fortune on the UK RRP) so far its been running like a champ

Same for me got two of them running perfectly fine, "touch wood"

Could be that they're delaying it until its MU-MIMO support is fleshed out a bit further. That way they can ship with MU-MIMO firmware instead of relying on customers to do the firmware upgrade themselves.

Where did you find the UK RRP? It's still up in the air.

Sheesh, good thing I did not wait for European release and just went for it... No problems with mine but read some reviews on Amazon with people having some quality control issues.
