Access LAN from OpenVPN ? (Android)

New Around Here
Hi there,
I use a ASUS AC56U router with Merlin 380.60 build firmware. I am trying to configure an OpenVPN connection to access my LAN only from VPN (from an Android 6 phone) but for some reason it won't work. I've read that this can be done by selecting the TAP mode, but this is not supported by Android API. I've checked the "Push LAN to clients" but that doesn't help. My LAN subnet is 192.168.1.2/255 and the VPN is the default one (10.8.0.0). This problem does not occur when using PPTP server.
And one more question... is there any way to use the router's ip when accessing the internet from the phone (when on OpenVPN)?

Thanks !

Make sure your LAN devices have their firewall configured to allow traffic coming from the 10.8.0.0 subnet. This needs to be specifically configured in Windows Firewall or any security software that you run.

To use the router's tunnel for Internet access, you need to enable Redirect Internet access, but you also need your device to accept modifying its routing tables. I don't know if Android allows that without rooting.
