Adaptive Qos, Cake-FQ-codel/FQ-codel, and traffic classification.

Hi just wanted to ask a Few things,
Will adaptive qos receive an option to choose qos alogrithm, when will it use or does it use fq-codel
and if so will it be upgraded to use cake-FQ-Codel, if not is it possible to allow for choosing which algrithim is used, and can it be added in a future firmware update.

Also where to i post to request that certain games, are added to the Adaptive qos data base as gaming traffic for propper classification.

Those are reasons serious enough for me to consider buying the Turris Omnia router, or possibly a Unifi one, but my open source heart is preferring the former.

merlin added such options to tradtional qos, but i wish asus would add them to adaptive qos, would make life easier.

Sadly the traditional QoS is broken in the latest releases, can't be made to work properly even with heavy scripting. Entirely ASUS's fault, they messed with the code.

I personally prefer adaptive qos, because it suits my needs, but I wish they would fix traditional qos for those who like to use it, it's a pain that adaptive qos doesn't have cake-fq codel or fq codel in general as it's packet shaper.

Cake likely requires a Linux kernel version that is far more recent than AsusWRT uses, but I could be wrong.

Even full fq_codel support does. The backport we currently use is missing a few features that require a newer kernel.

I think it's primarily a limitation caused by the dated kernel requirements of Broadcom's SDK.
